PNW Buzzers &Coaster history buffs, check this out

While surfing the net recently ,I stumbled onto this site.It is www.pdxhistory.com. There are lots of old photos of defunct and still open parks in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA.For you railfans (like me) there are photos of Portland streetcars and interurban cars.

Thanks! As a fellow Portlander, I revel in awe at how many exciting rides were at one time in the Northwest. It's so opposite of the way things are now.............
Thanks for sharing. Great site! Wonder if Oaks still has that Fly-O-Plane.

Great site....I could spend hours looking at the pictures of old trains and amusement parks. Council Crest seems like it was once quite the place.

The Fly-o-plane is long gone. With the exception of the Carousel, train and the Bumper Cars, the rest of the rides at Oaks are portable carnival rides. The Whip was dismantled after the big flood in 1996.It is still in storage at the park.
