Plus sized CP rider

DaNo, I'm about the same size as your friend. I would guess that he could ride Magnum, Gemini, Iron Dragon, and Corkscrew just fine. He could probably also ride Mean Streak and probably Blue Streak as long as he can get down into the somewhat narrow seats. (I am able to ride all of the rides listed). I'm not sure about Mine Ride, Disaster Transport, or Wildcat, because I haven't tried to ride those in quite awhile.
Cedarpoint.com says: Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, guests who exceed 6’2” or those who exceed 250 pounds, have a 46” waistline or 54” chest.

But they dont have a specific height like they do for the minimum height requirement. Correct? On Deja Vu they always make me stand next to the height stick with the min and max height on it. Luckily I am only 6'2".

If Cedar Point can go through the trouble to make a detailed hieght requirement chart on there Internet WEB site, they, Cedar Point, and other theme parks for that matter, should put an extra column or two listing the max weight and or max girth size for the attraction as well. Putting in a statement that says: "

Is not telling me much. Yes I figure that I will not be able to go on your kiddie rides but what about your key thrill rides. It will not be discriminatory by disclosing that type of information. People should not have to go to a family fun amusment park and have to worry about will I fit or will I not fit. That is up to the park to come clean and be as informative as possible before hand. Plopping a test seat near a ride entrance indicating try me if you fit welcome aboard otherwise oh well is not being too conciderate of the situation. Especially since the park patron put down money before hand to get into the amusment park he or she cannot enjoy it to its fulles. Let me know before I buy a park ticket or give me the option of a full refund if I have a valid reason for not being satisfied.

Do any of the rides have actual height restrictions at CP? The only ones I've seen with it on the info board at the beginning of the ride are the Vekoma GIB's.

Your head can not be above the head restraint on TTD. That is the only height restriction that I know of. They do not give you an actual height though. I'm 6' 4" and was able to ride if that helps.

Size is relative, period. I am a "not so small" guy, and could not ride WT, yet at SFWoA, a "friendly push" got me on Superman. In 2002 I was able to ride everything but WT. I am 5'7" and too many pounds. The waist and chest restrictions noted by CP are true. I wear 42" pants and have a chest close to 54", it was tight a few times.

If your waist is 54", I doubt you'd fit much of anything. A healthly 42-44", meaning big but not fat, should be just fine. As far as the statement about refunds if you can't fit, we'e been down that road before. If you are a big person, you should know that you will not fit everywhere. It's a risk you take. It is not a park's responsibity to make it so everyone fits. If that's the case, I should get a refund for my 53" son who so desparately wants to ride B&M suspended.
