Please help plan trip to Japan

Has anyone been to Japan to ride the Steel Dragon 2000? We're thinking about going, but it's very difficult trying to figure out what the park hours are, where it is, if we can ride the train or we'll need to rent a car, etc. So if you can give me a hand, please drop me an e-mail. Your help would be much appreciated.
I have been in Japan about seven years ago. Be prepared that Japan is not an easy country to travel to, if you are on your own. Without an english speaking host, who is familiar with japanese society and everyday life, a trip can be very hard, thrilling, unnerving, chaotic, funny and EXPENSIVE!!! English is not actually a language spoken by the majority. Even if people are mad about western culture, they hardly dare to speak english. I think the easiest way to travel to a place like Nagashima Spaland, which is NOT near Tokyo, would be the SHINKANSEN train. Its a highspeed train which looks very retro-cool (its from the early seventies). They dispatch every hour and are very fast. They offer a great view of the landscape and chances are that you will be able to buy a ticket without any japanese talking. Note: a ticket can be quite expensive, but you will get used to it very soon, since japan is a "§$"&§$ expensive country. I would not recommend to rent a car cause there are lots of road signs in japanese only AND they drive on the lefthand side of the road.
Note as well, when i was there, the parks charge admission AND every ride has to paid as well. The number of parks is astonishing, but they are comparatively small.
