Playland Fresno at risk of shutting down

Playland in west-central Fresno opened its gates in 1955, the same year Disneyland opened, but is now facing permanent closure. City leaders are meeting with the kiddie park to talk about possible solutions.

While on the other side of the country, this makes me sad because I know these places form core memories for a lot of kids. For me it was Memphis Kiddie Park in Cleveland. These parks seem like a dying breed.

I thought about stopping there this summer, but decided against it as i figured a lone adult visitor without kids in tow might not be welcomed. Wish I'd given it a try now.
