Westchester lawmakers on Wednesday eliminated Playland Amusement Park entrance fees for county residents, succeeding in their second attempt to override a veto by County Executive Rob Astorino. In a 12-4 vote along party lines, Democrats on the Board of Legislators retained a $10 "spectator" fee for nonresidents who visit the park, but did away with a similar $5 fee for Westchester residents.
