'Playa's West Coast Surprise Inspection - Overview - In BulletPoint

Associated parks:
None

In a visit shrouded with more secrecy than George Bush's visit to Iraq, the Obvious One himself made a quick weekend trip to LA for KBF and SFMM goodness.

Okay--to tell the truth, it was a secret to me 'till Wednesday night too. But an email from a certain airline changed all that. Who and why? And how did these parks measure up? It's all coming soon--in words and pictures.

Of course, it will all be done in breathtaking BulletPoint format--cuz nobody gives a crap what you ate for breakfast (TM)

ARRIVED: 9:45 am Saturday morning. Woulda been a half-hour earlier but LAX left us sitting on the tarmac for a half-hour.

LEFT: 5:50 pm Monday evening

BEST EXPERIENCE: Finding a Wild Weekend Web fare from Frontier Airlines non-stop for only $110.

UPDATE Twin Cities, Kansas City and St. Louis folks can do what I just did this weekend if they wanna for the same price. DO IT. DO IT.

WORST EXPERIENCE: The fact that there wasn't enough time. The parks had their own ups and downs.

MOST PLEASANT SURPRISE: Did I mention the flight already? Not only was it cheap and non-stop, it was aboard shiny a Airbus C19 with 24 channels of satellite telly on your lil' LCD screen. Click the link already!

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: Realizing I didn't have enough time for Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

MAJOR NON-COASTER ACTIVITIES: Sleeping. Eating. Major bodily functions. Jet lag. Oh yeah--and going Nasai on few line-jumpers. You'll see.

BEST NON-COASTER RIDE: Not a fair question to ask--as I didn't board anything at SFMM that wasn't a coaster.

OTHER COMMENTS: I suppose this is as good a time as any to publicly reveal the worst kept secret on this board....or not. Those Who Know still know. As for the rest of ya...just keep scratching your head.

I'll get to the first park later.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

I guess I get bonus points for being up late and reading at just the right time...I am now someone who (inadvertently) Knows.

Frontier really is a good airline. My brother used to get really cheap flights from Omaha Nebraska to Bloomington Illinois when he went to Creighton. I don't think he ever had a major problem with them. Hope you had fun in LA.

Down is the new up.
Ditto that, Brian.

More on topic...is Frontier something along the lines of jetBlue (never heard of the brand name but am familiar with what appears to be the style of business)?

Think maybe you'll actually finish this one? Or do I have to keep begging for the next part of the trip report? You do realize that no one really knows the end of the 100, either.

;)

See, I was just about to submit Day 1...but nope.
Watching you beg is too much fun.
Who says I'm begging? You'll still rub it in my face.. even if you never submit your TR. So there.

:P

Best...line...ever. And to think, people love reading those never-ending trip reports!

"Would you like to buy a photo of you boys enjoying the Line Ride?"

Okay, RavenTTD. Since I know, I'll tell.

It was....pancakes.

With oatmeal.

Oh, wait, that was me.
