"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."
Heck, I'd put myself in that category. Once we moved and started hitting parks in other regions then making a stop at KW when we'd visit home, I started to enjoy the park much more.
It's kind of the inverse of the 'never left' locals.
We'd be in town for a week and friends would want to go to CP or GL (actually SFWOA at the time) and it was like, "No! Let's do Kennywood!"
They just kind of look at you like you had lobsters coming out of your ears.
The first time I heard about Kennywood was when some kids I knew in school around Middle School went to it. I had wanted to go since I heard about it. My cousin in the northern part of the state would go, and had pictures.
I finally go to go in 2003, and finally go to go back this year.
If the park advertised a little further south (my neck of the woods....Charleston) I am SURE they would visit in droves. Maybe that is something you could suggest to the management. ;-)
I have also "sent" people up there who otherwise had no idea Kennywood even existed. I haven't heard a bad review yet. :-P
