PKI...Tomb Raider?

I was at PKI yesterday (june 10th) as well as June 4th and Tomb Raider was closed for the entire day. Does anyone know what is going on with it? The ride op on Delerium said he just transferred from Tomb Raider because it has been shut down for some time.

Also as a side note, I heard someone talking at the park about this being the last season for the Vortex, I know that there is some speculation about a new B&M next season but would they really take out such a ride as the Vortex, especially seeing how it was just re-painted last year. Can anyone help?

I have no idea about tomb raider, but I do not agree with the statement about Votex. That is a much loved coaster and PKI has a lot more room to expand, trust me! We saw!

Silly Ride Op, clicks are for kids!
When I rode it @ BeastBuzz, they weren't loading the middle row, that might have something to do with it.
i was at PKI last sunday and tomb raider closed down 2 rides after us.and dodnt open for the rest of the day....as far as the new coaster (i heard it was to be placed by Top Gun)..don't quote me b/c this is coming from a guy that works at the dip and dots stand.
Is he up there with the Lemon Chill guy? =P

I would trust the Dippin' Dots guy over the Lemon Chill guy any day. I think all that Lemon Chill guy does is pull our leg. :)

So far TR seems to be having a terrible year. I have been to the park around 7 times already and the ride has been closed 5 out of the 7 visits.

That is a very poor average.

I was hoping TR would not suffer the same fate as so many of the other Top Spins in existance. I noticed a few years ago that Huss Top Spins in general seem to have quite a bit of downtime due to maintenance issues.

The ride unit itself is not the most dependable device to begin with. Couple that with PKI's "giant" aspect as well as all of the complicated effects systems that compliment it and you have a ride with a TON of potential issues.

I guarantee you that PKI wants the ride running and reliable more than anyone. I also expect that they are working feverishly to fix it. Let's hope that they eliminate the problems and improve their uptime average.
