PKI..4/12

Arived at the park around 11am... and what a day I was in store for(I read the TR from yesterday, and want to ensure all of you Buzzers that PKI was deffinately back on track today!

First off we went straight to Delerium, (wow, is all I can say!) This Giant Huss is somthing special.. One thing that I have to comment on is the Ride opps were doing a great job all day, and night..(fast and efficent) Kudos to all of them!

Then we stopped by the racer.. only running forwards.. but I got a little air in the back seat so that was a nice surprise..

Next to FOF.. short short line, for some reason this ride seemed faster to me than usual.. but that's just me!

Next it was off to Vortex.. (and again the Ride opps at PKI were rockin! (running three trains, no line.. I love this Arrow Looper!)

Then too Beast.. the trims on the first hill seem non existent too me, and the reprofile is very impressive.. Good job guys!

Skip to night time.. (Although I did see alot of enthusiasts at the park today, nothing would prepare me for station atmosphere durint the last 30 minuites of park operation in the Beast station.. it was like a mini event! (and the awesome enthusasim of the Beast ride opps deffinately added to that...)

Needless to say our Nightime rides were bliss..

A very excellent day indeed!

Nowhere else can I think of a ride/line/ride ops that changes so much at night, gotta love night rides on the Beast!

I HEART OHIO

I was there too yesterday. Delirium, Adventure Express, Racer, Vortex, Flight of Fear, Beast - waited between 5-15 minutes. Face Off and SOB - waited about 30 minutes. I got lucky with SOB since the lines were not too long yet - one train operation. Top Gun broke down and TR:TR and Backward Racer were down. I still haven't ridden TR:TR; but if it's anything similar to Delirium, then WOW.

Don't hold your breath on that one.

How are the new restraints on SOB? Is the ride more comfortable for tall people now?

Matt, the Train they were running yesterday has not yet ben retro-fitted with the new restraints, it is running the origional setup..

I do believe they are working on the other train at this time, and when it is finished, they will swap trains... and begin work on the other.

I would say TR:TR is definately one of the best rides in the park. Such a trip... Also, I saw that you didn't ride Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. I wonder if you avoided this because of its childish orientation. Regardless, it is a blast to ride, and a very long ride at that. You can't really prepare youself for it. Shooting things just never gets old, you know?

Actually I think they took those huge things out of the floor of SOB because I seemed to fit in it very easy. Also it was soooo smooth yesterday. The first helix usually kills me but It was great. I was contemplating whjether or not this was my favorite woody but after yesterday's rides and the night ride it definately is #1 in my book. Delirium was GREAT. I was bummed out because I wanted a new coaster this year but I think Delirium will do just fine. I would also say that the park was running very well with the exception of Tomb Raider and only one train operation on SOB. I also though FOF was running very fast. This was definately my best trip ever to PKI and all the coasters were running soooo good. 9.5/10 (first time I've been to PKI w/o talking about CP all day) I also got myself a gold pass!!!
The Opps really were exeptional on Saturday, especially on the Beast, they were getting everybody jacked up at night. FOF never ceases to amaze me, the ride seemed to be running unusually fast, so it's not just you Donny! There seemed to be quiet a few enthusiasts there Saturday and alot of us congregated near the Flyers. It was a very good day a PKI with some of the best night rides on Beast I've had in a while.

P.S Wesley Willis is one funny guy Donny.

Cuz this is my united states of Whatever!

Dying to ride Delerium! Is it plagued with downtime, or does it run pretty consistenely??
Deleriurm should not have the problems TRTR still has.

I gotta give the credit to the Beast/Flyer Crew, They are great and have a great leader (You know who you are) Who pumps enthusiasm into the even those not so impressed.

It is my personal belief that Lesourdsville Lake is closed for 2003. I'll let you know if anything is announced.

Tyler, No I Did not avoid Scooby for your posted reason... (hell he's the reason my parent's first took me to PKI when I was 5! (I was just there with a non-enthusist, who is not much for anything but *the big ones* as he says.. (I say whatevr too that..I will definately ride it on my next visit though.. I am a sucker for dark rides.. especially if they have guns! )

M77... Nope the huge floor things were still there.. and please tell me where you sat on SOB to get your smooth as glass ride.. because it ripped me in two.. (I keep praying for a good ride on this monster but it just never comes through for me.. (I think Binaural can back up my *heavyweight bout, and loss with SOB on Saturday.. aparently he had a worse ride than I.. but to each there own.. )

And Finally CCB... No down time with Delerium.. on Saturday... it was smokin all day!
I believe this will be a very reliable ride.. and an Adition that PKI.. will be praised for, for years to come!

Charles... Are you talking about Bryan, the guy at the Flyers and Beast? If so he really is a good guy. I met him last year and he was getting the Beast Station pumped up, Saturday night I even noticed a little hand slapping on the Beast.. very impressed.

Donny... Yes the ride i had on SOB was towards the back, and it tore me up, It felt as though someone picked up the train and threw it on top of me. It was Dad's first experience on Sonny and he said it ruined his day. He only rode one more ride for the rest of the day because it had such an effect on his body. I'm not trying to knock it because I have had some great rides on Sonny in the past, but the ride I had Saturday was pure agony.

She gave him away when she couldn't hold, she folded... a dissident is here. "PJ"

I rode SOB in the front and to me it seemed a lot smoother. Did any of you guys notice the train on Runaway Reptaur? It was stopped in a very unusual spot on a banked turn on the track. Looked wierd.
The first ride I sat in the second car 2nd row and the second ride I sat in the first car 2nd row. They were both really smooth and it seemed to not rocket you in the helix.
Alex, you better believe there was hand-slapping ! (I think the GP in the Station thought we were all mental! .. but hey we are!) .. Also sorry to hear you dads day got ruined by Sonny!

Alright Guys and Gals, this might be common knowledge to some, but here is my theeory about Sonny and *roughness*, As M77 said he sat in the second row on cars 1 and 2 respectively, and received smooth rides.. I believe Sonny actually dishes out a smooth ride if you sit in the second row of any car, due to this being the set of seats that does not have weels running directly under them.. this causes les vibration, and less discomfort..

Just try a whatever car-2 ride next time you visit.. annd see if this helps.. hopefully you will be more comfortable..

Hopefully with the new restraints, and this plan of action in place all of us that have been denied by Sonny can have our minds changed about this *Problem Child*
