PKI worth $200 million and attracting big names

Paramount's Kings Island, the Mason theme park now on the selling block, is expected to fetch a purchase price of as much as $200 million and attract some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, observers say.

I personally don't think that Cedar Fair should take on another significant external investment at this time.
If Cedar Fair bought PKI I might actually get a PKI season pass as long as it'd get me into CP and GL. That would make it worth it.

PKI wouldn't be a bad move for CF. The difference between PKI and GL is that GL was a failing park that SF was trying to eschew as fast as possible. CF has admitted that they underestimated the impact of the animals on the park, however it's turned around and is no longer a sinking ship.

PKI on the other hand is an already very successful park (as is the whole chain, IMO) where the company just wants to get out of the park business. They're not failing, they just don't want to do it anymore.

It would be out of the CF formula, but I think it would work.

Im just wondering if the Tunssends group in Europe is interested in getting a foothold in the US.

Not themed to Holiwood per sey, But rides like Nemisis are themed and done imaculately

Dorv said: Forgot a bit... Busch Tampa has a wooden rollercoaster, and that seems to operate without a real problem.

Dorv apparently doesn't visit BGT too often, LOL... :)

I just hope Dubai Ports World doesn't get them.

From what I heard on the radio, DPW is trying to build "something much larger than WDW"....So I guess PKI wouldn't really interest them... ;)*** This post was edited by rollergator 2/28/2006 1:21:44 AM ***
That would be the eastern seaboard, gator. ;)
Just twice, actually :) And it worked fine for me.

Sorry :)

LOL, my only problems with Gwazi, really, are these:

*One side running is "normal"
*Dueling (in case you DO find both sides operating)is "available only upon request".
*Wheels, for most other wooden coasters, tend to get replaced when they're no longer round (or ovoid, elliptical, etc.)
*10-minute dispatch times are also "normal"
