PKI Water Resort!

PKI has just released another press release about their plans for the water works area. They are calling the expansion a "Water Resort". You can see the press release at http://www.pki.com/corpinfo_press_waterworks_lastday.jsp.

Also, in an e-mail sent to season pass holders:

"Dear Passholder,

As you may have heard, WaterWorks as you know it gone for good after this coming Labor Day weekend but don't throw out your swimsuit just yet! If you liked WaterWorks, you're going to love what we have in store for you in 2004.
Coming in 2004, Paramount's Kings Island is excited to bring you and your family an ALL-NEW WATERPARK RESORT...free with the purchase of your Season Pass.

Although we are unable to release specifics for another week or so, we can tell you that many of the items on your "wishlist" have come true! Here's the scoop:

You want a WATERPARK FREE with your Season Pass — You'll get it!
You want to keep your exclusive Passholder-only entrance — Get that too!
You want more shade and less concrete — Done!
You want more water — Lagoons, waterfalls and more await!
You want more slides and thrills — you'll have to see these to believe it!
You want more amenities — cabanas, lounge chair-side waiter service, and full-service bar facilities are among the list of five-star pampering you will enjoy!

There you have it, more than enough clues to set your mind at ease that you will get your money's worth out of a 2004 Season Pass!"

I am getting very, VERY excited about PKI's plans for 2004!

it's been mentioned here before but i really do believe we're looking at an australian themed water park....similar to "boomerang bay" at PGA. The only difference.....new and better slides...after all this is the flagship Paramount park.

Yea I just saw the samething on Channel 12 in Cincinnati, Ohio. They did not have much just that Water Works was going to close and another New Water Park was going to take its place. I like the part where Kings Island could not give any details on the new project. They did show Water Works from the ground, but the rest of the park they showed by the air. Wonder if you can see something from the air??

Im very excited! as long as it was included in the season pass im happy and hopefully i will use it this year. the new water park sounds awesome
Oh jeez...lounge chair service...that's awesome! Seems like a lot for an amusement park waterpark...IMO....but I ain't complaining. :)
Just think, secluded island with waiters to serve endless martinis and wait on you hand and foot. Only in southern Ohio!

So are they creating a seperate gate water park to make more money? I know it says free for season pass holders but it could be built with a seperate gate for single day ticket holders.

It will be free with regular admission also. I'm guessing the train from PKI to the new waterpark will still be running.

That's awesome! I thought for sure that they would charge extra for the waterpark after they did the make-over. I definitely want to try it out next year!

The train probabily isnt going anywhere anytime soon. Especially since it is the main transportation between main part to water park.

PKI would make just as much money if they had an extra admission gate as they do with the gates they have now. There would be no difference. The gate that the Email states is already there. Its a Goldpass gate that allows early access to WaterWorks for Goldpass members only. I doubt if PKI puts an extra single day admission gate up out there.

.....Yeah, I think that smoke is supposed to be there.....

Actually, the current gate into Water Works, is available for use by any season pass holder, gold or regular.
