PKI walkback gone?

I was just fishing around the ACE site and I find no mention of the King's Island walkback or discount admission.

Does anyone know if they've done away with this perk?

To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them".

Chaindog, I don't know what's up on that, but I remember checking the site a month ago and it was also gone from the list of perks.

Pretty skimpy on the perks front this year as the Discounts page is only listing the Holiday World discount and the Enterprise rental car discount.

Maybe someone on ACE can chime in on what's going on with that.

Didn't something change with PKI opening International Street (or whatever it's called) early starting this season? I thought I read somewhere that they weren't opening it early anymore which would eliminate the walkback opportunity.

"Heavily medicated for your safety!"

According to a mailing sent out by the SW Ohio regional rep:

The park will have an ACE sign located between the season pass processing center and the will call buildings. At 9:45 am a park rep will meet the group there and escort them back to the Beast.

New this year, you must have your valid ACE membership card with you for early admission to the park.

This is approximately the same procedure they will use for Gold Pass morning ERT sessions. Speaking of which the park email newsletter came out April 6, and it says that on April 15 and 16, Gold Pass holders will have Nick Universe ERT from 9:30-10:00 each day. Enter through the old season pass entrance.

The Notheast Ohio Regional update was nearly the same.

New PKI Beast walk back procedures and Celebrity Meet & Greet

As you know, we offer the first ride on the Beast to our ACE friends every morning that the park is open. This year we are met with challenges..and opportunities!First of all, our parking lot will open at 9 a.m., instead of 8:30 as it has in past years. The front gate (metal detection, turnstiles, etc.) will open at 10 a.m., instead of 9 a.m. Of course, this makes it pretty difficult to get into the park to meet at the ACE stone. Here's the plan, Stan... we will meet at a special ACE a-frame sign near the very exclusive and somewhat secretive Season Pass entrance (located between the Season Pass and Will Call buildings to the left of the main turnstiles). At 9:45 a.m., our Guest Relations team will escort our ACE friends to the Beast for the first ride of the day. ACErs must meet us at the a-frame, and they must have their ACE membership card!!!! All ACErs will be allowed one non-ACE guest for the walk back. On very busy days, our security team will use their best judgment and allow folks to get through metal detection and the turnstiles early. They will be corralling everyone at the top of International Street. On these days, we will still meet at the a-frame.Season Pass holders will have early ride times on Saturdays and Sundays during the season. They will be entering at the Season Pass gate as well for their 9:30 a.m. early rides. Please note, we will still meet at the a-frame!!!! GR will make sure our ACE friends are escorted in for their rides.

Is the 50% discount on Paramount park admission discontinued? There's no mention on the ACE web-site. We are heading to Carowinds next week and if it's discontinued I'd like to know ahead of time so I can buy a ticket online.
From the email I got:

"Also, PKI is continuing the 50% discount for card carrying ACE members. (1 per card)"

Thanks for the help. One of the main reasons I join ACE is for the Paramount discount. That and the Indiana Beach discount (which isn't on the ACE site either).

At IB, I feel like I'm ripping them off even at full price...Indiana is just off the list due to my weather constraints, LOL.
Gator,

I know what you mean, I used the ACE discount there one year, brings the price of an armband down to $8, and 1 ride on a wood coaster there is $4.
