I was thinking.....scary thing isnt it....anyways, as i was saying. Seeing as Arrow Dynamics has filed for bankruptcy and wont be building anything new soon. What will Kings Island do about the situation regarding Top Gun only having one train. It slows down the flow of the ride so much. You have to wait in line alot longer than you did before, and I don think the general public will like this very much. Do you think that they will hire Vekoma to replace the train seeing as they have just made the floorless version of it. Dont you all think it would be pretty fun having a floorless version of top gun.
So heres the questions....1-should PKI even replace the train?....and 2-if they do hire Vekoma to build them another train should they use the floorless version of those trains, or stick with the version PKI is using right now?

Chiller and the Left side of Rolling Thunder are the lives of the party.
It is not a simple as it sounds. It would require a station overhaul because the cars only have one row each and when you are getting into an Arrow suspended there is a large step down from the station floor level - one that can't exist on the Vekoma floorless design. It also requires extra supports to be added.

The train will be fine. Have you seen how those things are built? I don't doubt that the only thing that needs to be replaced is the fiberglass tubs. Don't make more of this than it actuall is.

Beast_rocks, look at the article on the right.
Jeff seibert said the the train was going about 20 MPH when it hit the truck. And you have to remember that the train could have hit the truck and then rolled back to where eventualy stoped at.
having ridden both the old and new version of the vampire, i can safely say that the old version was better. the cars were just so much better to ride in. the new trains create a lot more headbanging and arent half as comfortable. it is often hard to tell that your legs are free unless you look down at them.
these vekoma cars arent all they are cracked up to be!

Maybe for a ride like Iron Dragon, JMHO but I found ID very, very weak compared to BBW, there could be some good in it.

There are many more examples of outside sources workong out fine than not so. In fact, virtually any amuesment/coaster manufacturer could make new trains, for a price of course. Just because X is messed up (which really isn't a surprise) doesn't mean it's that way all the time. People act like coasters are as complex as the space shuttle and can only be worked on by people with PhD's.
And hey, I can think of some examples where a coaster's own builder couldn't get it right *cough* Deja Vu *cough*
