PKI "Top Gun" Response

According to a park official, PKI will make no official release regarding the reported accident that occurred on Tuesday. The incident was not denied.

Top Gun operated all day today under single-train operation.

At least they have it up and operating, even though it is under one train operation, but at least they have a legitamate reason, unlike a park in North Eastern Ohio.

Why would PKI make an official announcement about something that *may* or *may not* have happened the way *rumors* are stating? Especially if it happened the way rumors suggest...no one was riding or involved and it happened during non operational hours.

Now I am not denying the obvious, but if it were legitimate and even newsworthy then media would have dictated an official announcement. But apparently it was not significant enough to warrant even local coverage.

The ride is operating, albeit with a single train, so that's a pretty good indication that the *ride* is ok.

Ya I totally agree Shaggy, the ride itself wasn't harmed, just the train by a freak accident, no one was hurt no major damage to anything besides the car, no reason to explain why, no one needs to know.

Does anyone know if the other train there on the track or is it completly removed

From the damage described and the fact that I would doubt they would put a train damaged like that on a transfer track for all to see. Of course I don't know how reliable the sources were in the first place.

I've heard taht the train is sitting on the transfer track the 7 wheel assemblies are present, but there are only 4 cars, I have no clue as why though...

I completely agree with shaggy as long as the incedent occured as is reported currently. As far as I'm concerned, the test run served it's purpose and more, definately signifying a problem to the ride-ops. Just imagine if this were at an unsafe park with unreliable employees too lazy to do a test run. That would be news.

If you are looking at pictures of the actual site with tarps over it and wheel assems without any train, wouldent that be evidence that someone actually saw it and took the pictures? you really need to relax on the mass closeing, especially when a thread makes sense and is not some "what ride is better" thread

And you need to learn to spell. Tarps over a track can mean a roll back or track maintenance. We'll take care of moderation, you just go about your business.

I didn't think they would. I just wanted to let the people who were expecting something know that it wasn't coming.

I was speaking with a friend of mine from the Enquirer, and he said that he wasn't even aware that it had taken place.

If you ask me, it was newsworthy, but it was handled well enough so that nobody really got ahold of it until it was old. I do agree that it would be ridiculous for the park to come out and publicly announce "HEY, GUESS WHAT WE DID!" :)

Maybe this was really a good thing, think no one hurt, a great thing! PKI has alot of dough so repairs aren't too clostly to them, how designed this ride and must bring new cars for the train?
AROWW DYNAMICS. Maybe this can keep them alive, for a little longer.
