On Friday, September 10, Paramount's Kings Island opens its gates for free admission from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to honor the heroes that emerged from the tragic events of 9/11. This special, one-day event features the moving exhibit, “Madame Tussauds New York: Tribute to the Heroes of 9/11,” as well as, safety presentations, exhibits, and discussions from local fire and police departments.
“Madame Tussauds New York: Tribute to the Heroes of 9/11” is a heartfelt, multi-media exhibit that features a lifelike wax re-creation of the famous photograph of three New York firefighters raising the American flag out of the World Trade Center rubble on September 11. In addition to the figures, the exhibit includes photographs of uniformed service personnel and victim’s families, as well as inspiring quotes all choreographed to music. The multi media exhibit will be shown several times throughout the day on September 10.
If guests are unable to attend this special free event, the “Madame Tussauds new York: Tribute to the Heroes of 9/11” exhibit is included with park admission and runs August 28 through October 31, 2004 during park operating days.
Admission to Paramount's Kings Island is free on Sept. 10 and includes the Paramount Theatre and International Street section of the park along with a selection of park restaurants. Please note that park rides, games and attractions will not operate during this special free event.
