Somebody on the CC forum said that Top Gun will be operating at Carowinds during its holiday festival, so I think Kings Island might run a few outdoor coasters this time around too.

Carowinds is just a little south of KI.-Tambo
PKD is a little south of PKI, Carowinds is even more south to PKD.
Having seen both the PCar and PKI versions, here's some thoughts:
Though The Beach Waterpark has their own winter event across the highway, I hate to say it, when word gets out about Winterfest nobody will be at the Beach. However, one thing I hear they do at the Beach that is pretty cool though is layering some of the waterslides with snow and having family toboggan rides.
Boomerang Bay?...maybe? We can only hope! *** Edited 7/16/2005 4:26:53 AM UTC by Floorless Fan***
I'd like to see 'Santa-Bot's Flight Of Fear'.

My band "The Cedar Kings". "Ordinary Day" a trip report in song.

Anyways, I was really excited to see the teaser and hear about this although a lot of us were secretly hoping this was the year anyways due to what was said on the back of the tickets. I definitely see them opening Scooby Doo (Christmas retheming?), the carousels, the train, (and due to that quite possibly..) Tomb Raider, and maybe even attempts at The Beast according to weather and temperatures like the survey hinted. Other possibilities include the Action Theatre and Flight of Fear.
I'm sure most of that would be enough to get a lot of enthusiasts and thrill-seekers back for a winter visit. I don't remember the event extremely well myself except that I loved it, but if it's anywhere near as amazing as Dollywood looks during theirs, you don't even need to ride anything and it's still a fun and breathtaking experience.
