KINGS ISLAND, Ohio - Paramount's Kings Island continues to bring Hollywood to the Midwest with the announcement of their much-anticipated new marquee. Modeled after one of the most recognizable images in Hollywood, the new marquee resembles the famous Bronson Gates that grace the entrance to the Paramount Pictures Movie Studio in Hollywood, CA. When complete in late summer, the elaborate new sign will stand over 80 feet tall and reach 49 feet wide. In addition, the sign has 40-foot tall Corinthian columns and iron gates spanning 13 feet in height and 30 feet in length.
The first visible signs of the new marquee include two large, red supports that are erected in the parking lot where the former marquee stood since 1978. The original Paramount's Kings Island landmark was destroyed last September during an early morning storm.
The exterior sign design is a collaboration of Paramount Parks Design and Entertainment, Charlotte, North Carolina, Ray Meyer Sign Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Advance Sign Group, Columbus, Ohio.
