Thanks
To be honest I love both parks. CP has the Beemas and the Intamins and the Cedar Downs.
PKI has the the woodies and Delirium and Drop Zone. :-)
CP has the beautiful beach and killer chili fries, as well as a long history.....PKI has the Coneys and the funny Spongebob attraction, and still the best racing out and back coaster in the world.
My three best coasters at PKI? The Beast, Flight of Fear, and the backwards Racer.
For CP it would be Dragster, Raptor, and MForce of course. :-)
My three best flats? Delirium, Drop Zone, and the Sling Shot (when the prices are lower. :-)
For CP it would be the Cedar Downs, the Demon Drop, and the Skycoaster....nothing like flying literally a few feet from Lake Erie. :-)
If I were you I would visit both parks, and take in SFWOA and LeSourdsville while you are here. :-)

Adrian, you obviously got here, but yet you asked how many coasters PKI has. There's a menu at the top of this very screen with a button labeled "Roller Coasters". There's also a site called "Roller Coaster Database, or rcdb.com for short. Last, I'm sure Paramount payed some high-price web developer to make them their very good looking website. Adrian, let your fingers do the walking, and remember the google search engine is your friend.

Also I know SFKK isn't to far from PKI. I've never been there but you might want to take a trip down there as well.

Ive posted my thoughts on CP before, but I have been banned for them, so Im not even going to try. If you like woodie coasters, go to PKI. SFKK really isnt worth the 2-3 hr drive for from PKI. Not in my book anyway. A buddy of mine and I went down there and rode everything in about 4 hrs, and had nothing to do the entire day. The best 3 flats at PKI are: Delirium (if the entire queue is full, its about a half an hour), TR:TR, and (surprised noone mentioned these yet) the Scooters. Drop Zone is high up there too.

As Mitch always said, "If you had a freind who was a tightrope walker and he fell down just walking down the street, that would be completely unacceptable."

The VP of park operations at Cedar Point asked me the same question while I was at Cedar Point the other day!
Even Cedar Point wants to know how it compares to PKI. I think PKI is a great park, although its no Cedar Point. With PKI and Cedar Point, Ohio has 2 great parks! If SFWoA gets its act together, it could be a great park too. But that would take lots of money and all new management.

Avalanch Run - My first Roller Coaster.
Magnum XL-200 - The BEST Roller Coaster!
The themeing is very cool and I like Top Spins but I think it's time PKI gets with it and puts in another major coaster, and soon!
PKI is slightly more of a family park and CP is more of a thrillseeker's park IMHO.
As far as SFKK, it's worth a trip. There is really not much to the park but Thunder Run and Chang would be worth the drive alone. Greezed Lightning isn't too shabby either.:-)
By the way, why is PKI closed during most of September? They don't reopen till the 27th. Just curious.

Anyways, I think PKI's best coasters definitely are the Beast, Flight of Fear, the Backwards Racer. For Flat Rides I think Delirium, Drop Zone, and the Monster take the cake for the best flat rides. After going to CP again this year I must say though that CP overall has a much better experience to be offered. PKI definitely more of a family park, whereas CP is a hardcore thrill seeker's park.
Just a comment for the person who wanted to go to PKI on October 11th for Fearfest-- I would check to see how the crowds were for the weekend of October 5th before definitely deciding to go to PKI for Fearfest. While it generally is a fun yet scary attraction, the fact that it now is included with Park admission makes me want to think that it will be much, much, much more busier than it ever was the last three years. The fact that I believe season passholders can get in free now as well also heightens my suspicion over this matter. Hence, I think it would be smart to check with someone on how the crowds were before heading to this event.
