PKI posts FearFest details

PKI has posted some details about their third annual FearFest. This year, the park has partnered up with WEBN, a local radio station. One thing that I find odd, is that at Kings Dominion`s FearFest, passholders get in free, but at PKI`s pass holders have to pay about $20. Also, is it just me, or do those seem like the same haunted mazes as last year?

-----------------

They are the same names except for Psycho Path. They are probably the same spots, but different mazes, and a little scarrier i hope too.

Just a final warning, Lesourdsville Lakes event is cancelled.

Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!

Plan on all the major rides to be open from 10-7. Then when fear fest starts most of the coasters and some of the major thrill rides will be open. You should just be able to get tickets there. It does normally get pretty crowded but expect very small waits on all the rides that are open becasue most people are in line for a haunted atraction. The haunted attraction lines to get very long and if you go and want to get them all in I would not spend to much time on the rides. Last year my friend and I rode the beast 10 times without getting off the train. They added fog and it was just so cool. But when ur riding this ride like that you lose track of time and we didnt relize we had rode for an hour which took away time for the haunted houses and we didnt get them all in.
Wait a second. If you go to the link that coasterz provided, you can read all about the mazes and haunted houses this year. If I remember correctly, the "Curse of the Crypt" was located in Phantom Theater last year, but it wasn't a walk through, you still rode the ride. Also, the mummies were just the old Phantom Theater animatronics with different "faces." If Phantom Theater is/has been converted, where will "Curse of the Crypt" be this year?

Actually Curse of The Crypt was located in the Games area in Coney in the warehouse, behind all of the games, The Mummy's Revenge was in Phantom Theatre in 2000. It had a chansaw in it though, which was weird

they updated there site and says what rides are going to be open. I cant wait! If anyone goes on sat. and sees a guy wearing a walley world t shirt thats me.
well coaster-freak maybe i'll run into you... cause i'll be there saturday! because this will be my only time making it home to Cincy, I'll be more focused on getting some much needed ride time on the rides that will be open... especially TR:TR and my favorite the beast. Last year me and two other friends had the entire train to ourselves and it was off the chain...
well I hope during General admission that Top Gun and Face/Off and the Slingshot are open cause I really want to ride them, but they seem to have all the good rides open. It will be great to go on the Eiffel Tower and get some great views of the park.

The rides I believe are open: SOB, Skyflier, DOT, Slingshot, Drop Zone, one side of Racer, Vortex, Action Theater (Elvira), Beast?, TR:TR. Those are all I can think of.

-----------------
smile...it's cheap, and people will wonder what you're up to. :)

You can check out all the latest information on what rides will be running during FearFest PKI`s recently updated FearFest website. If you visit the park on a Saturday in October, during normal operating hours, all attractions should be open, unless they`re down for mechanical problems. However, White Water Canyon will be closed for the remainder of the 2002 season.

Kinda odd that White Water Canyon is closed, there is probably something back there that they don't want us to see.

Not at all... WWC is the first ride to close in the park if they are low on staff. It requires the most crew members to keep it operational. When cooler months arrive and staff dwindles, park operations immediately shuts it down. The lack of riders does not warrent the 10 operators it requires.
I'm kinda curious to see if PKI will theme any of their rides this year. Rumor has it that they will do some unusual things to their rides this year? I'll be down there over the weekend to check out the stuff. Though I still think it's kind off odd paying twice in one day to enter the park.

Haunted Ohio Parks...you've been warned!!

Worse is being a seasonpassholder and paying to get into the park. This year PKI has made things REAL inconvenient for seasonpassholders by making them purchase advanced sale tickets if they want their SP discount. (in other words, they haven't been real good about geting the word of the pre-sale tickets out, so they hope they can rake their passholders over the coals for full fare) That REALLY bothers me.

I dunno about this years FearFest it sounds like they are just going to recycle everything except the haunted trail from last year.
