PKI name change, again?

With the new Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle being built, I was wonder what was going to happen with Scooby Doo's Ghoaster Coaster. Anyone know? The name Scooby Doo sure had gotten around that park! The park opened with now called The Beastie, named Scooby Doo. Then they changed that to The Beasite and later opened Scooby Zoom. Once Scooby Doo's Ghoaster Coaster opened, Scooby Zoom changed to Tom Cat's Taxi Jam. What will Scooby Doo's Ghoaster Coaster be changed to? Or will it not? I've been wondering that for awhile and decided to see what everyone on here thought....

Since Great Adventure has Batman & Robin: The Chiller right across from Batman: The Ride, I don't see it as a big stretch for a theme park to reuse the same name in the same park. ;)

On the other hand, I think PKI has enough sense to change it.

That's a good point, but PKI has changed the name every other time. Why not follow the name changing tradition?

Yes, I agree that the park will change the name since both the names and the themes will be really, really similar. I would expect a Nick-themed name if they do.

Carowinds still has Scoobies Ghoster Coaster as well as a Scooby Haunted house. I don't see why it needs to be changed.

I think the reason Scooby Zoom was changed to Top Cat's taxi Jam was to follow along with the rest of the parks in the PKI chain which also all have Ghoster Coasters and Taxi Jam's.

I would really not expect Ghoster Coaster to change names this time.

True, I completely forgot about Ghoster Coaster at Carowinds. Is there the same type of Haunted House theming for GCPC as GCPKI (even though one's a 1970s junior woodie and one is a 1990s junior suspended)? Most people probably wouldn't care or notice though if they saw a similar name and theme.

-Danny

As far as I know, there isn't any theming for GC at Carowinds, although the track is a bright purple with white supports which stood out for me.

If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot 'em?
How about they change it to the Bat Jr. :)

That would work since they have little bat heads/bodies on them.

MagnumForce comes through again! Thanks for the info. I forgot about Carowinds. I don't pay much attention to it beacuse I've never been there. Guess I should more often, Heh.

Wasn't the building where the new Scooby ride is going to be a different Scooby ride before. If so they didn't change it then so why now.

If you don't like the ride shut up and get out of line.

No, it has only been Phantom Theatre and (Smurf's) Enchanted Voyage before. Maybe you're talking about the Scooby Doo show that used to be playing next door at the Enchanted Theatre??

-Danny

MagnumForce's point also is valid for PCW. Scooby Doo's Gasping Ghoaster Coaster and Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion.

I still think it's rather interesting that PKI and PKD have four woodies, PC and PCW have three, and PGA has only one. To add the that, people claim it's possibly the worst wooden coaster in the world. There's a whole new topic on why Paramount hasn't fixed/replaced/added another woodie to the park.

-Danny

I'm sorry, I think that I was thinking about the Haunted Mansion at PCW.

It's ok Dan. Thanks for thinking! -the unofficial slogan of Coasterbuzz :)

Actually before PT and even before the Smurf's Enchanted Voyage there was the Enchanted Voyage which featured all of the Hanna-Barbara Characters of the 70's. It included Yogi and the gang, Fred and Barney's gang, The Jetson's, Mystery Inc. and ..... I still remember the Scooby cartoons playing on the big screen above the Scooby-Doo scene. I miss the Snails as well.
