Went to PKI's bring a friend free day today, took my friend Matt. Anyway we got to the park at about a quarter after 9 and it was pretty empty, parked in the lot in front of the Gold Pass Lot. Got our free ticket and went to the Ace Brick which is not there anymore as theer is now "Son of keyhole photo" (Actually it is Keyhole Photo 2 but I like Son of Keyhole Photo better.)
Anyway I met SeanF who I found to be a very nice guy and we talked abotu a lot of interesting stuff. A lot of ACE'rs there today I would assume because of SRM tomorrow. The Walkback was to Tomb Raider which had the same program that they had opening day, good ride but the ending still leaves a lot to be desired. We went from there over to Papa which seemed to be running pretty slow today but still as awesome as ever.
Next up Vortex, which was very rough today i still have a headache but I loved every minute of it. After we left Vortex the large amount of people in the park became evident along with the fact that a lot of rides had not opened yet because of not having enough staffing until all the workers get out of school. Hit up racer backwards in the back seat, Great Air and so smooth.
By this time it was time to eat so we went to the festhaus. I had a Sub, French Fries, and Frutopia for 9.99, not that awfully bad. After Lunch we headed toward the action Zone, had a 1 1/2 hour wait for face off which Matt loved as he has never rode it before. Very intense and smooth coaster that Vekoma really shines on.....for once.
Next up a 45 Min wait in the rain for Sonny which was not bad as it felt great in the muggy 85 degree temps we had today. It was running as fast, smooth, and vicsious as ever. If it keeps this up it is gonna have to become my number one. After that we hit up Adventure Express which is by far the best Mine Ride out there, so fast and intense for what it is, but I still hate the last lift.
Then we walk for a while and decide to take the train ride, we got off at the water park to check out "The Scenery" which was pretty good for a couple of 20 something guys LOL.
Next up a hour and a half wait for Flight of Fear, second seat and the most intense ride I have ever got on FOF. Just too awesome.
Finnally we see Top Gun is running and head on over there. Smooth and fast but entirely too short.
Then a ride on the Eagles and I was very dissapointed, I don't know what the deal was but I could not get them to snap, well as well as I usually do anyway. Too tired I guess because by this time the heat and long lines had taken their toll.
We ended our day with a ride on Phantom Theatre. Good kidsy dark ride.
All in all a fun day at PKI but it was just so muggy today that I didn't have a much fun as usual. Still trying to Decide which Park I like Better, CP or PKI, tough decision. ;)

I'm praying we find shorter lines in June during the week, than you found in May.....or we will be back to the Capacity topic again. Great report MForce.
One question though.....Adventure Express wasn't there the last time I was at PKI......is it THAT good?

I think I am the only person I know who doesn't gush over Adventure Express. Of the 3 mine rides I've been on (AE, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gold Rusher at SFMM), AE comes in dead last.
The theming is nice and the foliage has really grown up around it, but it's just too "jerky." And, as has been mentioned numerous times... the ending is simply unforgiveable.

I guess AE is so Much better then then other mine rides to me because it is so much faster and forceful. Other mine rids are very tame, AE isn't.
This is my 3rd trip tp PKI this ear and the lines have been non existent earlier in the year so maybe I am just spoiled.

Nice to meet you dude. It indeed was packed that day. We ended up leaving at around 6:00PM. We were bummed that the flyers weren't running but it's cool you got to ride them.

I was there that day with several girls I hung with. That day I will soon not forget I cannot tell anyone though. Just whoever out there pray for me about what happened that day.
I was there with friends and went with chicks from my school that day as it was our last day and we always skip. As for the secret above, I am better off not to mention it as it would put legal matters against me and them.
