Paramount's Kings Island officials honored Don Helbig Thursday for his 1,000th visit to Kings Island. Helbig, his wife Laura and daughter Maria, 9, walked in on a red carpet and he was presented with an oversized commemorative ticket as a memento. He's also credited with over 11,000 rides on The Racer.

I'm not sure whether to yell out "Congratulations!" or "Nerd!" Does this mean I have grounds for a lawsuit due to emotional pain? ;)
Gee, if he got all of that attention then Rotor Fred over at Geauga Lake should have a section of the park named after him.
1,000 times - that's three years of your life spent at PKI. Sheesh. It feels like I've been to PKI 1,000 times, but in reality it's probably more like 50.
Yeah Haybaler man at Geauga Lake is there almost every day and wears a shirt that I believe has over 40,000 rides accumulated on it. We should try to get him some kind of recognition.
For what it's worth, Rotor Fred used to hang out on the Wild Cat at Idora park until it shut down. He'd come out every night after work.

40,000 rides only deserves the attention of a mental institution.
I don't disregard for a minute the fact that Fred is a little...um...off. But, he could be doing far worse than riding spinning rides all day long.

I mean, I don't know, he could be dancing around naked outside a hotel room after admitting he never graduated high school....didn't really apply to med. school...and butchered his wife.

wahoo...do we really need to make jokes out of current news murder cases?
Need? No that is probably too strong of a word.

I guess I could change my joke.

I mean, I don't know, he could be huting down his wife's killer on a golf course somewhere...while stealing satellite tv...beating up drivers who cut him off...but all the while knowing that he butchered his wife and her lover.

I'm surprised Pk didn't give the guy a bill... 1000 x divided by probibly 10 years worth of season passes... yo' boss, how much did we lose on this guy???? lol
He is truly using the system to the fullest....
Yeah, but think about how much they made on word of mouth and food/items.
