PKI has Extreme

Well, little birdies got back with me, and the Coney Mall arcade supposedly has Extreme with another different mix going into the Rivertown arcade. So you can add that to the 'new attractions' list. (at least Beastbuzz will be more interesting.....DDR and Bubba Gumps (yum!))

Little birdie also mentioned the possibility of a tourney at PKI before they go to 7 day a week operation, so sharpen those skills kids. (You need to pay a 'tourney fee' to enter, but the prizes should be good.)

Keep in mind the tourney is rumor at this point, but the machine upgrade should be a given.

PKI bigwigs, if you're reading this, please make sure the volume is UP on those machines! My local GameWorks has two DDR machines that sit unplayed because the volume is too low to properly hear the music.

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

Den, I wouldn't worry about the volume. I know a bunch of the games dept. supervisors, and all of them play DDR. As a matter of fact, they were the ones responsible for getting Monduce (? - Games Div. Bigwig/Whatever) to get Extreme in the first place, so I don't think volume will be an issue.

I found out that the other machine in the Rivertown arcade was going to be upgraded as well, but to what mix, I don't know yet. I guess I'll find out Sunday.

...and as far as I know, it'll be 3 songs/$1.00.

Monduce is the arcade people. They bring in the games and such and fix them. KI just tells them what they want to have.

Yeah. I never knew what they are exactly, since they (being the supervisors) never explained to me what Monduce was, I just knew that is what they ordered from them.

It doesn't matter....all that's important is that they have upgraded machines.

....and speaking of which....I played it today (after getting my pass, and a 'turn' on Delirium)....

The good.... pads are in excellent shape for being the old machine.

The ok.... sound needs an upwards adjustment, but it's audible. The whole floor slides on their tiles, but that can be fixed later.

The not so good.... The arcade now runs on tokens instead of quarters. The code hasn't been inputted for the latest unlocks (but I'll try to fix this Sunday), and it's still 3 songs for $1.00 (which isn't horrible considering this IS a theme park).

Overall, it's a nice little bundle of joy at the entrance to Coney Arcade. The other DDR machine is still Dancing Stage, but it's supposed to get an upgrade too. I'm just not sure when.
