From June 6 - August 8, a limited number of tickets to the "Italian Job Speed Lane" will be given to Gold passholders each day. There's also a sneak preview WEEKEND April 2/3 plus 2 passholder-only Friday nights. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Paramount really wants a high visits per season passholder ratio, and they're doing a pretty good job at enticing me.
I'm one who ALWAYS gets a Gold Pass at the end of each season (since it's basically free, gets you a free ticket at the end of the year, AND gets you free parking.) So many other people do that also. Then on top of that, you get ALL these great benefeits, special days, more free tickets, etc. And even the public buys one day and gets another free.
It really does amaze me on why PKI needs to do this. I can't remember the last time I've been there when the park was dead (with the exception of when it was 20 degrees last year.) People flock to PKI even in the rain.
It seems like a no brainer with the Gold Pass.
CP has thankfully perked up their Joe Cool program. Not that any of these parks needed to though.
The only park that I thought might have needed to was SFWoA to make people get SF passes. They had awesome deals with theirs...and thats when CP came out with Joe Cool, and PKI Gold. And now SF is gone.
Speaking of the park being dead, April is the BEST time to visit. The first couple of weekends are PERFECT!

That's just the thing, I don't think PKI *needs* to do this either....but year after year, they continue to impress with their enthusiast-friendly policies. Thanks PKI! :)

They had that last year, and they have listed early ride times for this year as well.
