My opinions about PKI
I had a blast most of the time. Doubles tend to suck when your a open the next morning. I got sent to admissions 1 time, its rare but it happens. I met a bunch of great people FOF and SOB TOM being 2 of them.
If your in rides. Flight of fear/zepher is fun to work at. SOB/top gun kinda sucks cause top guns line is almost impossable to get clean. If you can stand little kids hana baraba/nick will be a great place. You get a meal ticket also and your rides tend to be less hetic. If its over 100 miles I do believe PKI can setup low cost housing for you.
I had a bad experence this past season that has caused me to not want to return. I enjoy it as a patron but I can no longer work for them. Feel free to IM me and i'll tell you the tale.

Yea, I would have enjoyed FOF/Zephyr a little bit more if I would have been trained on FOF one of the 6 times I went over there!

For those of you who have worked at Paramount's Kings Island, here are a few more questions:
What is the LATEST you have worked, and how often did you work that late?
What was the EARLIEST you had to come into work, and how often did you have to come in at that time?
Do you usually work the same shift everyday, or does it change from day to day / week to week / month to month / etc? For example, I worked at my local pool and every other week my shift would change from 12 PM-4 PM to 4 PM-8PM.
If working as a ride-op or in food service, or any other job at PKI, what other responsibilities do you have? For instance, those of you who are ride-ops have mentioned cleaning the lines and what-not. What other responsibilities do employees have?
Thanks again for your help.

Intelligence is a God given gift: Know how to use it.
The earliest I've worked was on the gold pass early ride days in which we started at 8 A.M.
The latest was on the nights of fire, and i didnt get out until like 1, and for fearfest was about 2. And for the most part your shift changes every few days, mostly day to day. However you can request certain shifts for certain reasons.

OH no FoF... 8am? You rides people and your cushy jobs. Try working in food. Gotta be open when the park opens. Gotta stay open till all the people wonder out of the park. The bakery people come in at 5am to start making fresh cinamon rolls and the such. I've come in at 6am to start preparing food for the company picnics in the grove. I've left the park at 2am many many saturdays.
So to answer your question. If you work rides i'm sure you will get out like when FoF said, but if you work food you will expect to be there LATE if you are a closer. 1am is a good time if you work close on a saturday.
Also, working food you gotta cook, you got to clean, change trash cans, run registers. Doesn't sound hard, but when you have to deal with idiots who have been standing in line for 20 minutes just to get to your register and then wait another twenty minutes to finally decide what they want. Just as you hand them their food they are like "what the heck is this, i wanted......" Its fun though, I'm not really trying to scare you. Its a great job, fun people.
