Out of curiosity, do you have to stand on a number for the seat you are assigned to or do they just let the 30+ people go to any seat they want? I always wondered that!
I'm so looking forward to Drop Zone @ PKD!

The Jokes on You!! Ha Ha
You are assigned a number starting with 3 then up to 40, than 1 and 2 are assigned, it is asked that for quick loading you go to the assigned number. When you go to the wrong number it splits up groups who want to sit by each other.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Which begs the question, "Why do they start at 3?" Why not start at #1 and work your way around?
Thought #1 - are 1 and 2 reserved for a wheelchair rider and their companion?
Or are 1 and 2 special big boy seats, in which case why am I not aware of them?
Or did the people numbering the seats make a mistake and started numbering in the wrong place?
FWIW: At the MN State Fair on the Fabbri MegaDrop they led the group around the tower in an orderly line filling in all the seats.

Coreo81...yes, it IS true about the braking....not sure where PKI's starts braking, but PKD's will accelerate to 72 and hit the brakes at *IIRC* a hair-raising 33' (?) from the ground. Given the tower height, maybe one of our many *phyicians* could check those stats....(economics is a *soft science*, lol)...;). Considering the BREEZE that blows from around PKI's, this should be interesting watching oncoming riders try to stand up when the previous *ring of riders* hits those brakes....ROFL...
GP, thanks for trying...

Ok rollergator, that sounds a bit off the wall! 33' from the ground? How could it slow down that fast? Where did you get this info from anyway? You aren't the first person i've heard it from...This is really interesting.
Are there still seats on PKI's Drop Zone that they don't use? Like one here and one there, for a total of three? I haven't riden it at all this year but I remember they were closed last year. Darn lightning and computers.

Coreo81, I got to see the actual press release (wish I was able to get a copy). Dan Burns at PKD's GR showed me the release when I asked about the new drop ride....while he was waiting (and waiting) for PKI to retrieve Jill's passholder info. Even got her in free without having to replace her season pass! We now have a shrine to Dan Burns in the coaster room...j/k, but he was a *fantastic* employee! Pretty sure 33' was what it said....
MWB, no idea, but don't blame GP....;)

Yeah, I couldn't imagine how slow it would be without assigned seating!! Drop Zone normally has a 1 - 2hr line, too!
