PKI Discovery Channel shoot: Anyone go?

All Southern Ohio ACE members were invited to PKI Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday to fill seats on the Beast and SoB for a Discovery Channel shoot.

I couldn't go as I had company. Did anyone here go? How was it?

I went to the Goliath Discovery Event. IT WAS COOL!!!

I was at PKI for the Saturday/Sunday SOB shoots. Pretty fun except for the "getting up early" part. :) Not a lot of rides, but that wasn't really the point either. The highlight was probably meeting people, really.

I was also there on Saturday and Sunday. I only got four rides on Son of Beast (2 each day). It was exciting. The only bad part was on Sunday Son of Beast didn`t open till around 11:30, a long time after I got to the park at 7:15. I would`ve been able to ride The Beast but that wasn`t open yet, and I had to leave to be back at Sonny before the Beast opened.

Supposedly the Beast opened about 2 minutes after everyone gave up waiting and went back to SOB. Whoops. :)

Oh well, I got on it later in the day anyway. It was running pretty good that day...

I was there on Thursday. I got about four rides on The Beast, but there was quite a bit of waiting around. Since it was the first day of the shoot, they were tweaking the camera a lot. I think they only did about eight runs total over three hours, so I guess they got the shots they needed. I did see some of the footage on their monitor and it looked pretty cool.

Where do you work? I was there on Friday at Beast. They were also taping us in action a bit on Sunday afternoon. It was awesome seeing how they attached the camera to the train. I was also chatting a bit with them and it was interesting learning how they produce there shows.

I was there Sun but the previous day's storm killed chances to get anything on Sonny. Electrical problems everywhere in that place.

I work at beast. i was there sunday when they were shooting. I was on vacation the other days so I didn't see any of it.
