doesnt it look like the claw broke a water pipe. it looks like water is shooting out of the hole.
I believe it is actually only a drill breaking up the last remaining footers left over from KCKC.

"The Claw!"

I don't really know, that could just be dust.

That's a footer that had been destroyed and was being discarded.

Is it true that they are building an 8 story building for this. From my point of view, that doesn't seem right if it was a motion based ride. I mean, spiderman has no real elevation change, and the building is not tall at all.

Yes, it's true that the final "show building" will be 80 feet tall.

I don't think anyone can say with confidence that Tomb Raider is going to be a ride of one type or another. From the descriptions we've heard - things like "unique, multisensory, multidimentional, prototype, totally immersive" and so on - I'm sure that we're in for something completely new. And like I've said before, even if the ride system is familiar to us, the way that it is used and incorporated with the "show" isn't likely to be.

Hmm. I guess that means that TR:TR wont be like any ride out there, even Spider-Man. I beleive PKI was telling us that.. the whole time.
Well, 63% of the people here seem to think it is a motion based simulator ride, so it is definetely a point worth stating...

And welcome to Coasterbuzz, but lose the sarcasm.

I think that PKI is going to do a 180 on this. They are leaning towards a Motion based ride, but what if it does end up being a coaster? I do know that PKI reps have said that its not, but what else would they do with an 80 ft. tall building?

PS. That poll is out of just what Jeff put up on it.

This is getting really silly.

What vested interest does PKI have in lying to the GP and more importantly the media? To get a "gotcha" effect? I don't think that's worth losing your credibility with the industry.

It's not a coaster. It's something we've never seen before... what's wrong with that?

I was merely pointing out a possibility. Im not sticking to it, of course, but I just want to know why would they put in a 80 ft building for a motion based ride? Maybe multiple stories?

I just hope the TR:TR building doesn't harm the Beast's romp through the woods. I hope they don't get rid of too many trees.

Maybe it is like back to the future. Thats about an 8 story buiding.
I think PKI would have enough sense to keep the Beast isolated b/c they have enough sense to know that people like the seclusion

You can be assured the contract bid on, accepted, and signed. They can't change the ride without changing the contract, which can be a very expensive proposition if it's a major change. It will be what it will be; the "leaning towards" anything is over.

So many coasters - so little time.
"Hmm. I guess that means that TR:TR wont be like any ride out there, even Spider-Man. I beleive PKI was telling us that.. the whole time"

I spent the day at the park today. I talked briefly to a markenting personell today after the park had opened. We talked about a couple things including the new ride.

The park claims this is a one of a kind attraction. It ISN'T a coaster and I don't think it will be a motion base like Spiderman. However, the park has added two small signs at the new preview center and they do mention that the new ride will be a '3-D Adventure'.

Take it for what you will but I think come April of next year, there are going to be some rather surprised people when this thing opens. There were a lot of people today looking between the cracks in the fence to see what was going on. It looks like more and more people are becoming curious to what the ride will be like every day!
