Ok we got to the park about a 1/2 hour after the gates opened and Son of Beast was not even testng. The reason for that was the heavy rains that started from 2 days ago till the early morning of our trip. We headed towards face off
but the line was 2 hours long. So we went to top gun witch was a walk-on ride. Awesome ride but too short lots of wind in you face and watery eyes! The ride op told us that sob was going to be open in a half hour. We went over towards the racer and adventure express because those are rides my brother and sister can ride. our first time on was more shakey and bumpy than usual but, we got alot of air time. next we rode adventure express witch is a nice little mine ride and is very rough with its sharp turns. By that time the 1/2 hour was over and there still was not a single train testing on son of beast. We got a quick snack and injoyed some of the canaval rides like the bumper cars and the swings. Next we stood in line for the beast. This was my litlle brothers first time on the beast and he nearly crapped himself but he did love it. Next we rode vortex, awesome ride love the batwing and the corkscrew. Next we took a break for lunch. Then we rode king cobra, that is awesome for a starter stand up coaster it is very loud lots of air time for me. son of beast still was not running. My dad started to make fun of its name by repaceing beast with that other b word. we took a couple rides on the racers, adventure express and top gun, son of beast started testing but broke down while testing while the 5 hour long line watched. We took a ride on congo falls and my mom and dad got soaked. After that we rode face off that is one intense ride we rode it backwards first with my dad facing us. Its very loud and fast. The heavy rains shouldn't be the reason i was there the day before after a thunderstorm and I rode it AFTER a thunderstorm.
That sounds like my experience with SOB. Except that it NEVER opened to the public, only for water dummies. I was so pissed, but I got over it. That was July 10th.
