Got to say Jeff Siebert does a great job keeping the park in the publics eye.

If you want to move this too news, Thats fine by me :)

Confirmed, Lesourdsville Lake opening for 2003 details soon at Lesourdsville.com

Wow Delirium will reach speeds of 70 mph? That ride is going to be pretty intense. The 50 foot castle outside of Scooby should be neat too.
Never underestimate the power of licensed cartoon characters, coaster fans.

I predict the two major Ohio parks will be neck-and-neck in '03. If any long shadows are cast across Ohio, it just might be from Shaggy and Scoob...

I thought the 3rd attraction was going to be SpongeBob Squarepants 3D in the old Days of Thunder theater.

Its been announced that it was going to all the Paramount Parks.

Or is there even more going in at PKI?

Delirium will be in a dead lock for the fastest ride at PKI. HUSS' site says that the giant frisbee's travel at 78mph. (The same speed at SoB)

This is true. SpongeBob will be going in where 7th Portal was.

There are a couple more things being done at the park this year but I seriously doubt they will be making announcements for them considering they are not rides.

Sean you are a tease and I hate it. You and Jeff Siebert are great at keeping people excited for the park. So it's basically confirmed that Sponge Bob is the third ride? I really like Sponge Bob, with the adult humor, but I would really like something other than a crappily done movie on an old screen, with painful seats. I'm sorry, but I really think Paramount Action FX Theatre is done for.

Yes, the third new attraction is indeed SpongeBob. The park talked about it while at No Coaster Con a few weeks ago. The other couple of things, while weren't talked about at NCC, have been mentioned here before.

From the sound of it, the new movie should be quite fun. With 7th Portal, guests were a bit confused about the story and the charcters. SpongeBob is a much more popular name and should be quite popular.

I will admit. I have never seen an episode of SpongeBob (Laugh if you will but I have never watched a full episode of The Simpsons either) so I am not all that familiar with the character other than knowing it is quite popular.

I'm sorry, but I really think Paramount Action FX Theatre is done for.

I think it all depends on what is shown and if the production is well put together. I am a sucker for 3-D movies and was actually a fan of 7th Portal due to the 3-D effects. I for one can't wait for SpongeBob.

The FX Theatre can still be good as long as the movie and movement of the chairs is good and thrilling. It was s disapointment to go from Days of Thunder where you were being thrown back and forth to James Bond and you just bounced up and down a little. It was very sad.

I say keep 7th Portal and put SpongeBob in the B theater.
Well, reading this news story: http://www.newsnet5.com/entertainment/1952344/detail.html it states "A third ride being built at Kings Island will be announced before the park opens on April 12". It makes me wounder if this thrid announcement is something different and not the SpongeBob movie. Anther hint is this line "Paramount's Kings Island is building three multimillion-dollar attractions." A SpongeBob movie wounldn't cost them that much. But I could be wrong tho.

Is it May yet??

"...I have never watched a full episode of The Simpsons."

You've missed all 301 episodes? D'oh! If you only knew what you were missing....then again, maybe its best you *don't* know what you're missing ;)

Newspapers are wrong, as much as I'd like to see Sponge Bob NOT BE the third attraction and be a small fourth, I think I'll just think low. I just really wish they would anounce the movie, it would make scence considering that the other 4 parks have anounced it (I think.)

That's correct sir! I did try to watch part of an episode and found it not to be my type of humor.

LOL! Maybe
