PKI 6/27

Associated parks:
None

At first, i was sappost to go with 2 of my girl friends, but as they always do, they couldnt go at the last minue, so i went alone. This isnt weird for me. I always go alone to PKI. I think its relaxing to just unwind and ride some great coasters. With my "I'd Rather be Spankin the Monkey" shirt on my back, i headed for the gate.

As i always do after i first enter PKI's gate, i turn left right away, and head for the Action Zone. I always enjoy riding Son Of Beast first, and usually last. So i'm walkign over into the action zone and i notice thar the thing is basically empty! Usually there are hoards of people wandering aimlessly around that watertower, but no. 50 people at most were there. I head for SOB, and walk the queue all the way up to the station. There is a 1 car wait for the ride, and i hop in the 2nd to last car.

Son Of Beast- 8/10

I love this ride. I'm not an airtime guy, so this one just is great for me. I think the camera is in a pretty lame place, so i always do somethin goofy, and then i'm up that lift. I love the sound of that lift hill. Its so loud, and it scares the first-timers. The drop is amazing as always, and the helixes are very intense. I rode over the wheels this time, so i could feel the roughness. The loop is great, and so is that alst drop before the breaks. This is a must-ride whenever you go to PKI.

I got off SOB, checked my picture, and then headed for Flight of Fear. I had forgotten to ride it last time i was at PKI, so i got in line, but behind a group of girls with no clue. The queue was pitch black, and these girls were asking me countless questions about the ride. Good thing i knew the answers! The wait for this was about 10mins. I fanally get on the second to last seat, and i hear the "Clear".

Flight of Fear- 8/10

The key to this launch is that 3 seconds after you hear the brakes let off, it launches. It never suprises me anymore. The ride with the lapbars is just simply amazing. You feel much more free, and all the elements are 10x better. That last corkscrew is the best part of the ride IMO. This is also another must-ride.

After FOF, i headed towards The Beast. On my way, i pass the Flying Eagles. Now i've only been on this ride once im my whole life, and that was about 6 years ago. I hear so much about snapping on this ride, so i just had to try it. I got in, and away i go. I have a pretty good idea of how a rudder works, so i start steering the car. As we get to top speed, i stear downward, and at the bottom, the car basicaly stops. Soon after that, i feel a HUGE tug, a LOUD snap, and my car is throw into the air. My back slams against the back of the seat ( with little padding ). I must say, it was love at first Snap. Oh boy, it is so much fun. It feels like you are going to snap that ride in half, and go flying off across the park. People below were all watching wide-eyed as my car flew over their heads. After what seemed liek 10 minutes, the ride slowed down, and stopped. Of course, i rode again. I think i'm addicted. Finally, i got myself off of that ride, and headed for "Big Pappa".

The Beast- 9.746/10

Daddy was walk on. This i think is kind of sad, because it is such a great ride. I sat in the second to last seat, and we headed out. The Lift is realyl slow this year, but i liek the view. As we rounded the top, the train picks up alot of speed, and the first drop is just great. The trims on the second drop ruin all airtime ( Which doesnt bother me ), so i can see how people dont liek it as much. The trims in the shed realyl slowed us down, which did make me kinda angry ( I accually cussed out a trim break. I think i need some help ). I love the laterals throughout the whole ride. We finally got to the second lift. I have a sort of habit on the second lift. There is a sign that says "Please keep arms and legs inside car at all times". Every time i pass that, i stick out my arm and slap it. Well, anyways, The second drop is fun, but i still dont like the tugging from the trims. The helix is the best part of any coaster i have EVER been on. Hands down. I am slammed into my seat, and i cant see anyhting. Its all a blur. If your ever in Ohio, pay for admission, and ride The Beast. I dont think you'll be dissapointed.

I decide i needed to go back to the Flyers, and i rode that another 3 times.

I then got on Recar, which i always ride whenever i go to PKI. I hate Racer, because it kills my back.

RECAR- 6/10

Not much to say, its a fun ride, with some airtime. Pretty smooth, and worth the walk-on wait. Not a must though.

I rode SOB again, accepr not over the wheels. I must say it is REALLY smooth now! I was amazed. No more bangin around. I also rode the Flyers 3 more times, and then The Beast again. I rode The Beats over the wheels, and it gave me a painful ride ( my first one ever ). Oh well, i LOVE rough rides. After all this, i went home, and it rained about 15 minutes later. A fun time.

PKI- 8.7/10

84 coasters in Track Record!! Hypersonic XLC # 100 in July. Waiting for the 305 foot drop tower in 2003. Thank you PKD.

I was only there for about 3 hours. Since i live so close ( 2 minutes ) form PKI, i go up when i'm bored. It was nice having everything walkon. The best days to go are Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Ok maybe I missed something but what is RECAR. Is it the racer backwards side or what.

Beast_Rocks, you are correct. Recar is the common term for the backwards side of Racer.
