PKI 2003 Announcement Later Today

I hope they do anounce all of their attractions today. We know they are at least getting two, to replace PT and KC.

"Phantom's Revenge Theatre"....sorry, I'll go back to reading now....;)
it'll be, as stated above, a tazmanian devil like thrill ride themed heavily to Mission Impossible.

-----------------

I was told by three people that the announcement would take place today. I went for a couple hours to see if something I read about Top Gun was true. There was a truck underneath that ride, but I could not tell if there was a crash.
What did you read about Top Gun???

What about Son of Phantom Theatre sounds good to me. Or maybe we can name are nearly confirmed frisbee Tomb Raider: The Ridie. That way we can have rides that sound like Beastie and Son of Beast.

(Former Signature replaced due to bad joke with accident) The Beast at night-Two peas in a pod?

RCmusikGuy,

We are not at liberty to discuss that at this time ;)

So what if there is no more CCI. We still have Raven, Legend, Shivering Timbers, Cornball Express, and 31 other coasters to enjoy.

Son of Cobra?

Not sure if there's enough space for one of those.

I DO think it will be a coaster, though. No Paramount park has a hyper (steel) coaster yet... Hmmmmmmmmmmm... :)

Then again, I know nothing.

its a giant frisbee in the king cobra spot

I don't think 2003 will be a year for a "massive" capital improvement. They have spent a lot of cash as it is in the past 4 years.

I know that PKI was letting patrons take a survey to decide the new attraction a couple months ago. Their were two choices for the King Cobra spot. A small wild mouse type coaster or a large thrill ride. I've never seen this thrill ride before though. It was like a super charged ferris wheel and the seats put you in a flying position and flipped you upside down. So, I'm guessing it will be one of the two. But who knows, maybe the survey was for an attraction further in the future.

Joe, I believe you are correct ;)

I was there yesterday and it doesn't look like enough room for a coaster... Oh well lets hope, but we have Flight of Fear!!!! Now thats an awesome ride!!!
It's big enough for a mouse, I doubt it is, trust me I'm pretty sure it's a Giant Frisbee, why not get 2 giant Huss's plus 2 other parks have Frisbee like rides and they are successes there, 04 will be a big year, anyways Jeff why don't you close this like the Top Gun thread it's a rumor after all!

just remember who told you first......Inverted mouse...;)...."I know nothing"...(TM)

Pablo8194:

The survey of guests was indeed done. It took place on Coney Mall. Guests were shown pictures of several rides including a few large flat rides and a wild mouse coaster.

The choice among guests was overwhelming and you will soon know for a fact what the GP wants at PKI.

Why couldn't they have done the survey at CBCon? People would want a 700 foot flying inverted floorless Intamin Vekoma CCI Rocket Coaster.

Oh wait that would have been GTTPCon ;)

They probably didn't survey at the con for that reason ;-)

Actually folks, you are getting your hopes up unecessarily if you think PKI will announce today. Trust me when I say you will have to wait a bit longer to see what PKI has up their sleeves.

Again, not to dash any hopes, but there will not be an announcement for 2003 today.

Nope, I did not make a call to PKI about it. I'm just psychic like that ;-)

By the way... no one has mentioned that Top Gun IS running today.
