PKI 11/3/02 Things that make you go HMM!

Arrived at PKI @ 9:10am Talked to Chuck and his brother for a bit and while they went on the walkback I went on the flyers.
Flyers Boy did I suck today I couldn’t do nothing to save my life. After I did about 12 cycles, I left to pity myself. I cant fly them in the cold!
Then it was off to Vortex. My best ride all season by far. No head banging nice pops of air. Very funSeat 7.2
I decided to hit my old favorite Flight of fear. It was a walk on 5 min wait. I road with some people from out of town I forgot to mention the hole Launch and the no OTSR. They loved it and so did I Seat 1.1
Then I was off to the Racers. Best ride of the season. Airtime filled not painful at all wonderful ride.

Then it was off to Top Gun. 45 min wait.
Not too bad fun ride as always and its good to hear train 2 is coming back. 3.1
Drop Zone was closed I walked with my buddies from SOB to The employee break room where we parted ways.
I went on beastie. 1.2
I met back up with chuck told him about TRTR’s little fire drill. He ate at wings. I was there to warm up.
4:PM Flyers Fest.I totally sucked more and more and more I just coulnt get into my groove. Chuck gave me all the advice in the world it just wasn’t happening I was trying too hard.
My G/f showed up and we went to sob after a totally a horrid run. SOB 16 min wait
We had line jumpers. We refused to let them go they started with the racism BS. I said no. I pointed to the no line jumping sign. I said no. They threatened me. Kids couldn’t been more than 10 I laughed. There dad let them cut inside the station. The kids were kicked off. (They did this over at face/off as well.). SOB is running great. There’s some land clearing HMM!.
Best ride all year. Smooth and nice. Good air as well.5.2
Back to the flyers we went. I finally did it on my last try I got my groove back. I was doing it like a pro again! My Girlfriend learned quickly as well and was snapping with us on her second ride. Thanks Chuck and everyone else for the advice.
Beast Closing.We waited about 20 mins. Jeff Seibert was entertaining as well. He told us about the 2 new rides and the 3rd mystery ride. Land clearing by SOB HMM! Land clearing by beast HMMM! Beast was great!. Good run didn’t notice the brakes that much at all. What a great way to end the season. 2002 kicked it!
My season started on training day at PKI with face/off It ended with Pappa Beast What a year. Thanks to PKI for such a awesome day. Cold but fun.
Thanks to everybody Especially Chuck and his brother who was referred to as “chucks brother” so much I forgot his name. Everybody who was there really made it fun for everyone. I met so many people today I couldn’t count or add you to the list. This is the official end to my 2002 season. Wait for my 2002 year in review coming soon!

We almost missed the final ride on Papa as the ride ops gave us a BONUS ride on the flyers. Arrived to find no enthusiast, No PKI reps or nothing but a can in the entrance line. We looked up at the ramp and noticed we had only missed by a minute or so, so we went in the line anyhow. The ride ops yelled at us that the ride was closed but Jeff S. Told them it was OK!

Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!
I was the (only) one having trouble on the flyers. Me and Kristen gave up a final flyer ride so we could make it in time. She had not ridden beast all season either so she had a blast.
Hey Chuck your sig is right when you have both the fun is 10x more.
I hope everyone had a great season. Seibert knows how to keep us thinking as well. Now we have a whole winter of speculation on what the mystery land clearings are for.

I can go to a park alone and have fun. I have in the past visited PKI and only ridden the flyers 4-5 times and went home.
With friends or fellow enthusiast the fun factor rises 10 fold.
