PKI - Drop Zone open or no?

I am just curious if the Drop Zone at PKI is going to be operating this season. I have heard yes from some people and I have heard no from others. Anyone know anything? Thanks! :) :) :)

As far as I know, Drop Zone should be open this year. The reason it opened late last year was because the builders were waiting for a part to replace to be shipped in. The part they were replacing was broken. IMO, I think it will open this year. Hope that answered your question.

It was closed because a mentally handicapped kid plunged to his death after getting out of the harness at PGA.

The ride will likely reopen this spring with some kind of modified restraints.

I think that the modified restraints added last year were seat-belts on the over-the-shoulder harnesses. I forgot all about the PGA incident though. Thanks for correcting me, Jeff.
