PKI - 6-6

Associated parks:
None

We went to PKI today and I wanted to share a few things. First we got out there about 2pm and went to Tomb Raider. We get on, middle row very far seat and this op sets a plastic bin down on the ride. Then a handicapped kid comes up and the op helps him on and completely forgets about the bin he put there. So they start the ride, bin still sitting there. As the ride starts up and takes the initial face first dive, the bin falls and slams into the ground. It was hilarious. We told the op and he said "You gotta be kiddin' me."

The Beast was slow today. I think it was because of the weather, and The Racers were pretty slow too. Anyways, I really just wanted to share the short story about TR:TR with you guys.

I was there on Thursday too, and had an almost perfect day. The rain subsided when we arrived, and almost all of the rides were virtual walk-ons. We were walking toward SOB, (my 60 year-old mother is a fan) when from out of nowhere...SPLAT!!!! Two little "*$@#*ing" 12 year olds were tossing mustard packs on the ground, and stomping on them. I'm not sure how much mustard those little packets hold, but my clothes were COVERED with mustard. These stupid little wastes of carbon decide to run away (I was a little angry)...but they ran into SOB's exit, and tried to hide next to the on ride photo trailer. Eventually, I had Security there, and the little Satan spawn were questioned, and LET GO. My next stop was Guest Relations. There, we were given dry cleaning vouchers, and a promise that if the clothes were ruined, PKI would pick up the tab. (a very classy gesture, since it wasn't the park's fault) I bought a "Sponge Bob" shirt, while my mom (who didn't escape the olympic condiment fling untouched) was given a free pass to return any time this season.

Despite the action-filled afternoon, it really was quite a good day.

Oh, the Security staff said that this was a PKI first. I imagine somewhere between 75-100 million people have visited the park in the last 30 seasons....and I'm the first to be slimed with yellow sandwich dressing! Am I lucky or what?!!
