PKD tips and advice

Hey All,

I am heading down to Busch Gardens and PKD in Oct. Oct 11th and 12th to be exact. I was wondering how busy does PKD get on saturdays in Oct. I've never been to this park and last time I was suppose to go it was closed. I am staying ni Williamsburg and will be driving up to PKD on saturday!

Saturday is buisy at any park, so come early. Do Volcano first, followed by HXLC. Those get lines the fastest. Do the rest of the rides soon afterwards, except Annaconda, which always has no line when I go.

Thats not a good idea.......saturdays are horrible at pkd and busch gardens is usually packed on weekends..plus i think the haloween stuff is going on at both parks, which means you'll be stuck in crowds....but you might have some luck--hit the coasters first at bg, and the big coasters first at kd(such as volcano, and hypersonic.)

I go to BG every Oct. Never to crowded when I go! I usually go first thing in the morning and leave at lunch time then come back at 4 or 5 and stay till close. I love that park and nothing bothers me there its like a whole other world. Unlike SFGA where I am like scared standing in line.

Both of these parks are my home parks. I was just at PKD last night. From my experience both parks are a little busy because they both have special things for Halloween. I would say for PKD get there early, volcano is something you want to do first or the line is really long. Next I would say just work yourself around the park, I would do flight of fear, anaconda, the wooden roller coasters are not to busy. I prefer to do XLC right near closing it seems to work faster that way, get in line about 10 min or so be they close. Another hint is when it gets dark allot of people want to do the Halloween events so the wooden roller coasters you can just walk right up on by this time.

As for BG they only have 4 coasters, you will be able to do them all in one day. The lines move pretty quick, I would take the time to ride each one. Bush Gardens also has very nice atmosphere, I think if you take some time to look around you will really enjoy it.

Both parks from what I have seen do a good job during Halloween, so I think you will have a good time.

At BGW do Alpengeist first because the line can get really LONG because he ride operaters can get lazy and will have 2 trains on the stopped at the brakes before they let the next one go. Otherwise the lines move pretty fast. Dont know about PKD as ive only every been there once and it was crowded when i went.
