I was at PKD today (full report in trip reports) and I was lucky to be able to ride all the coasters. But three of the coasters were down at least once while I was there. Hypersonic closed by 11. I was able to get on the 4th train. Volcano was closed twice while I was there. And Shockwave was also down for a while. For those that are nearby, is this common for the park or did I just catch it on a bad day. If I had been just a couple of minutes later I wouldn't have gotten on H:XLC and I certainly would have been mad. I just wanted everybody to be aware of these problems if you were planning a trip to PKD.
my buddies and I are going to PKD on this coming Saturday. It has been such a very long time since me and my buddies have been to PKD. And I hope that there's not any problems with those coasters when my buddies and I go to PKD this Saturday.

Unfortunately, this is not uncommon for PKD. I have been there many times when 3 different coasters have been up and down all day. ( :) Didn't even mean for that to be funny.)
On the other hand, I have been there when everything was open. I like PKD..have a season pass...but it is just luck what will be open. BGW is better about having all coasters open, but even they are not always 100%.
got some news for you rail Junkie,it looks like we are going to SFA this weekend instead.the PKD trip is re-scheduled for the 18th,it's all in the e-mail that I sent you last night.about the ride closures, you probably did hit the park on a bad day, usually when I have gone in the past most if not all of the rides were open.
Hypersonic is down as much as it is up in my experience. Volcano frequently has problems, but they usually last no more than a couple hours.
