Any PKD fans dont take this in the wrong way I love PKD but having said that, what you have is a question of quantity vs quality. BGW has only 5 roller coasters but 4 of these I could ride again and again. Alpie is still my favorite steel (ride the front feel the rush) Apollo's Chariot is a wonderful BM hyper, BBW is the best arrow suspended out there period and is proably the most improved coaster (in very close comptition with the Beast) at night, and LNM was my first looper and I love old Nessie. BGW is also one of the few places that combines Disney theming and other rides (Corkscrew Hill is amazing, the shows are excellent and Escape from Pompeii is incredible) with steller coasters.

Now dont think that PKD doesnt have steller coasters too, Volcano and Hypersonic are both in my top ten and I would suggest you ride them sometime in your life but besides those two PKD has a large collection of good coasters (FOF, Ananconda, Grizzly, Rebel Yell, Avalanche).

Allright the point to all of this, you wont go wrong going to either park but I suggest you head to BGW and be sure to stay a couple of days and get the joint Colonial Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown/Water Country USA/BGW pass for the "complete vacation package" but that may be my love of history coming through.

I don't care what anyone says, Magnum is better then Millenium Force.

I would say PKD if you're looking for more in the way of rides. PKD has more rides and less themeing. They both have some nice coasters, however BGW's are much longer. Also, if you are planning to go in the summer, keep in mind that PKD has very little shade and it get's extremely hot. Either park is a good one.

Actually, hypersonicxlc, PKD has been adding more shading around the park lately. Also, the park is beginning to look nicer, not theming, but nicer. I know that as I walked the park just a few days ago, they're adding in a huge section of brick paths over where pavement used to sit. The Drop Zone area looks great, as well as where Scrambler is now (by Volcano/FoF) However, it depends on what you're looking for. BGW has enjoyable rides + theming/shows, if you're taking a non-coaster rider with you, there's your place. PKD mainly banks off of the thrill factor, shorter rides, but the newer ones have the intense thrill factor in them, much more than BGW. Tough choice, but I would go with PKD if I was going alone.
I have visited both two times. PKD does not have theming really but they have three great launched rides. If you are not a fan of launched coasters I would say go to BGW. BGW has Alpengeist and Apollo which are both in my top ten. Nessie is one of the most "fun" rides to ride I would say. BBW is an amazing Arrow Suspended. The swing over the lake to the finsih is amazing. If I had to choose I would say BGW, but like I said if you are not into theming go with PKD and you will love Hypersonic and Volcano.

If you are a fan of walking, I'd definitely say visit BGW. You walk forever to get from place to place. I personally enjoyed PKD much more. Volcano and Hypersonic are both rides that need to be experienced. I didn't find BGW's Apollo's Chariot that great, but I'm in the minoroty on that one. BBW was a great suspended, and Alpie was a good ride. I really dug PKD's Hurler, but I thought Grizzly was a bit rough...
