PKD or BGW

although it's a little early, and i've been to both parks, next year we are heading to cedar point. For our second amusement park, we are either going to PKD or BGW. Which one is better? I'm thinking BGW and also i haven't been there in a while. I haven't been on alpengeist or apollo's chariot, or even Lock Ness Monster.

We usually just go to six flags but we've done it every year and there isn't going to be a new coaster.

I also always go with my swim team anyways. *** Edited 8/13/2004 5:51:36 PM UTC by Austin***

Better is a matter of opinion. Go to the one you want to go most. It's that simple

BUSCH!! If you want to have an ultimate Theme park experience go to BUSCH. PKD is a decent park but it nowhere near as cool as BUSCH! Why not do both? One at each park. I recommend going durning Halloween time too. Its amazing down there!! Good luck!

Thanks,
DMC

I prefer PKD, but most prefer BGW. Why don't you wait till you hear the 05 attractions before deciding. You might want to consider SFGADV too. If you are in the DC area, it is not much farther than BGW.
where exacly is SFGADV?

SFGRADV is 4 plus hours away & don't give up on a coaster for SFA just yet until you hear the announcement,I hear we've got a shot at getting some good albeit wet stuff next year just wait & see.

As for which park to visit:I'd go to PKD,they've got so many coasters to choose from & their mouse is really good as is their bobsled coaster.

Last but not least they've got something BGW doesn't & that is a fairly good selection of woodies, you can't go wrong with rides like Rebel yell & the Grizzly as part of the park's overall lineup of coasters.

Add to that a great intamin freefall & some nice landscaping & staff & you've got yourself one fine park to experience & enjoy.

but i've never been on alpengeist, apollo's chariot, or loch ness monster. Why not ride those all day plus a little big bad wolf?

Does BGW have any woodies?

No, BGW does not have any woodies. Just Alpengiest, Apollo's Chariot, Loch Ness Monster, and the Big Bad Wolf. And then whatever is coming for the 2005 season ;) Anyone know when they'll make an announcement/when they usually make an announcement????

Hersheypark: The Sweetest Place on Earth!
Hard choice. I've been to both and although PKD has more coasters, I always end the day much happier at BGW. Alpengeist is the ultimate suspended coaster and Apollos has air time galore. Lock ness is always fun especially in the back and almost always opens before the rest of the park. You can get lots of rides in while waiting for the rest of the park to open.
Austin - have you been to these park's websites or the "parks" section of this site? You may be able to answer some of your questions with a little more research.

Personally, I'd do both.

To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them".

BGW i say or take a trip to SFA its not that far
SFGRADV is 4 plus hours
I don't know where you are coming from, but we made it in just over 3 from Fairfax. It was about 200 miles. SFGAd is closer to the DC area than most people seem to think it is.
