PKD Opening Day

Associated parks:
None

I also attended Kings Dominion on Saturday. I was wearing a Shivering Timbers shirt if anyone noticed one! =)

The reason Hypersonic was closed is easy, no brakes. I ran up to the chain to get first in line when it opened, and looked at the brake run to discover no brakes. Sounds like a pretty good reason to be closed if you ask me!

As for the deconstruction of the water slides, I'm not sure what will happen. If you remember last year, some Tomb Raider statues appeared near Diamond Falls, promoting the new movie. They still stand there. If it has anything to do with a new ride, we'd see a Top Spin themed to Tomb Raider.

I got a season pass last season and also received the Free Parking Pass. I upgraded my season pass for a whole $3 and still got my free parking pass. I'm sure that you'd still get the Premium parking area even if you have a season pass, I'll have to check next time I go.

I would love to see the Tomb Radier flat ride like the one at PKI.

If PKD gets a Tomb Raider-themed ride in that area, who's to say it will be a Top Spin? After all, PCW has a Zamperla Volare called Tomb Raider: The Ride.

Update: I went to PKD this past Saturday (4/3), and the speed slides had been completely disassembled (stairs and all).
