When I pulled into the parking it was just about empty. I mean, I have never seen so few cars @ PKD. When I got in I headed straight to Volcano to meet up with RctFan(Jeremy):
Volcano - No Wait.We rode twice. Volcano never fails to deliver. This thing is running much faster than it did the first couple of years it opened. I feels like the train is going to break free from the tracks during that huge turnaround. I remember how it used to barely make it out the top, but now it doesn't even loose speed when it goes out the top! It flys through the heartlines too. I noticed something on our front seat ride. The magnetic brakes at the end ascend and descend like those on TTD. I never noticed that before. It looks pretty cool!
Flight of Fear - No wait. Rode 3 times. This is my favorite coaster at the park. Last month they had the pre-launch spiels, but this time they didn't. The launch still kicks ass. It's also darker in the spaghetti bowl zone. They have some of the colored lights turned off. It's PITCH black in most areas on the ride. RctFan said, (Wow, you can't even see the track in front of you!) I sure hope they keep it like this.
Anaconda - No wait. Rode once. I can't ride this ride more than one time. For some reason it always makes me a lil queezy. They didn't have the water-sprays working.
Grizzly - No wait. Rode once. This ride is fun, but I prefer it at night. I noticed that a few trees were knocked down inbetween the turnaround because of Hurricane Isabel. They were big trees too...luckily they missed the ride.
Hurler - No wait. Rode once. Awesome Airtime on the first couple of hills.
Rebel Yell - No wait. Rode backward & forward. I complained about the roughness my last couple of visits, but this time it was silky smooth on both sides.
Richocet - No wait. UGH, why is this thing heavily braked sometimes. I rode it a few times this season without any trims. Oh well, it's a family coaster.
Shockwave - No wait. I usually skip this one, but since there was no line I said, "Ah, what the hell!" The first drop, loop, and the rise to the hill right before the helix is awesome. I don't care too much for the rest of the ride. It's painful.
Hypersonic - Hardly a wait. Rode twice. We sat once in the front seat and once in the back. I usually don't ride this one either because of the lines. I forgot what it felt like to be launched from 0-80mph in 1.8 seconds! I was nervous when I sat down. All I have to say about this ride is...WHAT A RUSH! The view at the top is just awesome. We were going to ride it a third time but it broke down.
While we were on Ricochet, I saw a train go up the hill and as it got closer to the peak it slowed down drastically and then stalled right at the peak. It was funny because RctFan and I were talking about how cool it would have been to see it stall, or be on it when it stalled at the top! LOL. It was at the top for maybe 5 minutes. Only 2 people were onboard. They released the brake and the train went down the hill backwards. That was that.
Drop Zone - No wait. Rode like 4 times. Even though the park was basically dead, the dispatch times on this thing was HORRIBLE. UGH, I don't know what the hell the hold up was. But anyway. The view is phenomenal and the drop is breathtaking. This ranks #3 as my favorite in the park. Flight of Fear is #1, Volcano #2.
This was one of the best times I've ever had at PKD. No lines, what more could you as for?!
I'm disappointed about their 2004 attraction. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise us with something else as well :::fingers crossed::: Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

That's just my goofy look at things and I think BGW, Disney, and PKI does this the best. There you have my three favorite parks and I wouldn't expect everyone to agree as I know nowhere near everyone likes or loves Disney.
Great report Coreo81 and while it's fantastic to hear all the lines were short or non-existant, I hope the business is doing well for PKD (and every other park) too.

DZ is sure to bring in the crowds for some time to come & besides they may have even better plans in store for the 2005 season (it is the parks 30th year in 05) & those plans might call for a new coaster or some sort of big new ride to bring the peeps into the park.

Why would you be disappointed with Scooby? Sure it's not a coaster, but it's a great ride and a HUGE hit with kids and families!
Well I know, but I want a Delirium! Anyway, maybe I shouldn't knock the ride before I try it :)
