PKD Announces 2004 attraction

Get those trigger fingers ready.

Didn't see it posted in any other topics... forgive me if already a topic.

What? After the giant Drop Zone debut this season, you're expecting a giga-coaster for 2004?
???

I wasn't expecting anything other than a Scooby interactive ride.

What? No one even talked about a giga or anything, including shaggy's post. I think what he was saying is that you shoot stuff on the ride, thus you need to get your trigger fingers ready. But this type of ride should be at every park. I've been on two of them and I had a blast on both of them. Its like an amusment ride mixed with a video game.

Makes sense...PKI's is very fun and very popular.
Interesting, the blurb didn't end with a note of further announcements to come like PKI's usually do. Does this mean Scooby will be PKD's only addition, or is it just a difference in style between the media folks at the two parks?

Could mean anything, BogeyMon. I wouldn't read that much into it.

I am not counting on any other additions at PKD in 2004.

I believe that there might have been plans to install more than the Scooby attraction ala PKI 2003. Actually, I believe some mention of more than one new attraction in 2004 was made by Mr. Zimmerman at the June ACE Con. But my instinct tells me that Dominion might have decidedly scaled back those plans a bit. I expect if they were doing more, they definitely would have mentioned it or at least teased it.

Irregardless, Scooby will be a great addition to the park!

I love this type of ride, but for the love of Mike, I *HATE* Scooby Doo! ;)

It shouldn't be too big a shock as everyone knew it was coming.

Really like SFStL's, so I'm pretty excited.

Speaking of which, how do Paramount and SF both have rights to scooby? Is it the movie and the cartoon bearing rights to their respective chains?

Ok here we go again. Paramount's has the rights to HB cartoon characters, which Scooby is one of. SF has the rights to Cartoon Network, which Scooby is one of.

...And come on - who didn't see this one coming?

LOL! Shaggy, accept my apology. I thought you meant "trigger" as in a pistol trigger (meaning get ready to blow your brains out, it's not a coaster!).

I completely missed the whole interactive shooting concept of the Scooby-Doo dark ride. Sorry again!

I sucked bad at the one at Carowinds. My co-worker kicked my butt. Any tips or advice would be helpful.

If you have a problem with clones, the solution is real simple—Stop traveling.
Scooby can't be the ony ride coming to PKD, I would at least think something else is coming in 2004.
They are getting an inverted gigacoaster too. . . .Take what you can get ;)
