We left our house at 3am early Saturday morning for PKD. We got there about 8am and waited for the gates to open. At 10 they opened the rides. Unfortunately my girlfriend tore ligaments in her ankel the weekend before so we had to use the handicap access all weekend. We met up with a few of our friends from the Richmond area. Our first ride was the Grizzly. That is one great wood coaster with an excellent tunnel. The line was short for the Shockwave so that was next my girlfriend sat that out. Shockwave has a new paint scheme this year. It looks like somthing out of RCT. After that we rode Anaconda. It's fun but we only did it once. Since we were near Outer Limits we did that next. First time I rode we were near the front and didn't get my ears beat up as our second trip near the back. The award for themeing goes here. Avalanche was down so we didn't get on that. Instead of going on Volcano we went to eat wich was a mistake. Later in the day there was a rollback and Volcano was shut down so we didn't get to ride. Scooby Doo was next. They added seat belts wich are tough to fasten for adults on a Jr. woodie. We rode the Hurler near the front. this has some good air and all right hand turns. We only got on Rebel Yell Backwards this time. We were looking forward to riding the Avaitor but it was closed all day. Out of all the times we rode we only rode with our friends a few times all day. The prices were high for food and drinks nearly 8 bucks for a cheese steak and fries no drink included. For a regular soda it was nearly 3 bucks. If you plan on going to PKD head to Denny's you will get a better meal for your money. We left at 5 becaue we were going to see the Richmond Renagades play at home.
The next day we went to BGW. Our day was much better here. Everyone was friendly and polite. Our first stop was Nessie since last year she was down when we went. For being 20 years old it is a great ride. The helix is cool with the strobe light and growls.
