Pixar Pier makeover to Disney California Adventure continues into 2018

The decade-long Pixarification of Disney California Adventure will continue in 2018 with the conversion of Paradise Pier into Pixar Pier and new attractions based on "The Incredibles," "Inside Out" and even more "Toy Story." The Pixar makeover of Paradise Pier will replace or rebrand a majority of the last original attractions remaining from California Adventure's opening day in 2001.

Wow there's a lot of conjecture in this article. From my understanding the pier will essentially have a Pixar overlay. Shops, rides, and restaurants will be re-themed to Pixar characters. The author of the article is suggesting that they may move the Monsters, Inc. ride, among other attractions, to the pier. That makes zero sense financially. I mean if this was RCT go for it, but it isn't.
If they do re-theme California Screamin' I hope they do so very carefully. I hate to say it but the ride is kind of meh without the soundtrack. Take a look and listen.
I never found the soundtrack to be particularly necessary. It was a nice touch, but it isn't like I'm missing out on Sweet Emotion or Back in the Saddle like I'd be on WDW's soundtrack-laden coaster.
