Pittsburgh Pirates give away free Six Flags tickets

Posted | Contributed by kpjb

In a unique choice of giveaways, this year the Pittsburgh Pirates are giving away tickets to amusement and water parks as part of their promotional schedule.

In addition to the normal bobble heads and ball caps, this year 12-and-under fans at the April 27th Pirates/Dodgers game will receive free passes to Six Flags parks. Later in the season, on May 25th, when the Pirates play the St. Louis Cardinals, free passes to Kennywood-owned Sandcastle water park will be handed out.

Check out the whole promotional lineup at the Pittsburgh ticket promotion page.

Smart move there, give the cheapest ticket out free so an adult ticket or two still have to be purchased. Finally something sensible from Six Flags! ;)

I'm surprised it is Six Flags and not KW, good move though. Although I might go to the game on the 25th to get those passes to Sandcastle, with their new slides, it should be worth the trip.
