Pittsburgh area college offers coaster class

Posted | Contributed by kpjb

The Community College of Allegheny County (in Pittsburgh) is offering a roller coaster appreciation course for the spring of 2004. Subject matter includes everything from history to technical concepts.

Well several people have brought up the question, "Who is qualified enough to teach the class?" Well pehaps a historian from Kennywood could. I also have the fear that the class will suffer from the double talk that we are all used to here (and especially on rrc). Hopefully this class will be a success even if it appears to be a "filler" class. ;)

I agree with Crystalkat! Heck, I would've been more apt to come to class if I had something like that to look forward to 2-3 days a week. There is so much you could talk about and learn in a class like that.
So? I'm taking a class called "Entertainment Engineering" at CMU next semester. You can guess what the majority of it is about. It's a real, technical, for credit Mechanical Engineering class. I'd just assumed that these sorts of things were pretty common.
Sounds fun. I'd take the class if they offered it here.
