Pinfari Coasters- Are they thrilling any ?

I know I have posted a topic about this before but I want to know if they are thrilling any. Are they comfortable too ? And are they very powerful ? or weak ? How are their forces ?

In my opinion, the Pinfari Xpress looks thrilling just to watch. I would love to ride it. Take away Serial Thriller and give me an Xpress. The Xpress restraints look not too good but not too bad. The RC 70 (2 loops, 1 screw) looks great with an open front in the first car. The loops on all looping ones look very powerful. Aren't they somewhere around 30 feet? With a small and simple layout, the looping Zyklons and most of the others look pretty weak but the Xpress; I would give about 4 of my homeparks coasters in exchange to have it. The tight turns and fast inversions look great :)

I wasn't too impressed with Indiana Beach's Galaxy (the Schwarzkopf Jet Star --"Tig'gr"--blows it away), but that is the only Pinfari experience I've ever had. Some of their looping coasters look pretty intense.

i have been on one of their zyklon model coasters on brighton pier in england. ( http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail854.htm ) it was quite a rough ride, but quite thrilling. there is quite a big of airtime around the circuit, and the loop is a good inversion, with very little headbanging. it is a good fun ride really, not at all painful, but just not thrilling enough for me really, after the loop there is just some highly banked corners, so that isnt to great. maybe if they had a chance to build in a larger area they could make more of their rides.
I've only done Looping Thunder at Oaks Amusement Park, and was not very impressed. Great ride for a small park with limited space that wants a looping coaster, but the ride just didn't deliver for me. Too slow and sluggish on the turns and drops, loop was fun, but with those unnecessary horse collars, the severe head banging just distracted from any enjoyment the ride had to offer. Still wouldn't mind one in my backyard if I could rip off the horse collars, and maybe grease the track or something to pick up a little speed.

The only Pinfari that I have ridden is Looping Thunder at Oaks Park.Yes, it is a little rough and slow, but it is all we got to ride here in Portland,Oregon.I just rode it last weekend.I was having coaster withdrawals and needed a fix.

With a lift hill of only 36 feet,it is hard to generate any real speed. If they were to remove the OTSRs it would improve the ride IMO.You could get a little pop of air on the first drop without them. The best 3 elememts on this ride are the first drop, the loop, and the drop on the helix.

IMO,Oaks could improve on its' coaster offerings by installing a CCI coaster.I could see a Cornball Express clone there(build it up and over existing attractions or diving through the oak trees)This would make Oaks more of a destination park versus a"something to do if you are in the area" park.

I can fix anything.....where is the duct tape?

Ron, any luck trying to work with the board that operates Oaks?

There's loads of Pinfaris here in the UK, and they're nothing to travel for really, maybe Tornado, the RC70 at M&D's in Scotland, but they're good for smaller parks to get a looping coaster. Generally though, as they're small circuits, they're pretty sharp on the corners, almost mouse-like and the cars are very small, you're sure to bang your knees most of the ride! They don't seem to have side friction wheels, just a largely flanged running wheel and a couple of tiny upstops, so they aint gonna run smoothly to start with. More Pinfari's at my site...

Hey, you got Ice Mountain Bobsleds too! Hands down my favorite Oregon coaster, that ride is such a total blast!

I totally agree, seems especially strange when you consider Oaks was once the home of a legendary Travers Cyclone woodie. Sure it was the smallest, but the severly banked helixes looked absolutely wicked! This little park could definitely use some good wood again!

BigKirby, I know that Ron is going on a trip with an "Oaks group" to Silverwood in late June. Let's pray for the best. I would love to see Oaks evolve into a park similar to Silverwood, and they could if they wanted.

Actually Galaxi isn't a Pinfari, it's a S.L.C.

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!

Um, to describe Pinfari coasters in one word:

PAIN! ABSOLUTE, UNBEARABLE PAIN!

OK, so it was 4 words...give me a break.

They are in no way painful, they're basically giantVenkoma Roller Skaters, I like them pretty much except for those pieces of junk like Galaxy@Canobie Lake and Rollies Coaster@Morey's Pier, but RC40, Python, Klondike Mine were enjoyable. Their ride are pretty twisted with great head choppers, but they seriously lack in any intensity(especially since a lot of their Zyklons are trimmed after the second turnaround) and can also get very rough after awhile.
Once again, Galaxies are not Pinafari, they are SDC.
