...and is now part of Splashin' Safari. New name too, Giraffica.
Check out what they announced

How is that for a misleading topic? ;)

So, what I'm wondering is whether you will still be able to enter/exit Splashin' Safari at Giraffica. Additionally, I wonder if this will affect the ability Holiday World to expand the Thanksgiving section of the park. Unless I missed something, I don't think they released any new park renderings.

Because I like the name "Pilgrim's Plunge" better than "Giraffica," I think this is stupid. In reality however, this doesn't seem to change anything.
Per Paula's response to a question on their website, Giraffica will still be able to be boarded from both HW and SS. With that said, I don't understand why the name change making it part of SS instead of HW. Like Jason said above, it looks to me like they are expanding SS to the point that Thanksgiving will be difficult to expand.
The new name fits in better with the ride names in SS. The old name reflected its location *in* Thanksgiving section.
Oh, and for Paula - there's no apostrophe in "Pilgrims Plunge" - it's a complete sentence!
It seems like they are trying to spread the waterpark crowds out by having a "waterpark west" and the new "waterpark east" (of the Voyage). East includes Giraffica, Rhino Blast, and I predict its own lazy river some year soon. Perhaps new cabanas there too. Currently, the only incentive to make the trek "east" is a big flume that is not themed to the Safari.
Expanding Thanksgiving is more interesting, but there is plenty of open space to either side of Gobber Getaway, and around the south side of Pilgrims.....Giraffica.
It's always fun to watch the history of this park unfold...
What's interesting for me is that the boats and station seem a bit Pilgrimish. Are they going to simply rename it, or add a giraffe theme?
They could paint the tower to look like a giraffe's neck, theme the boats to look like partially-digested grass, and then your boat is spit out of the giraffe's mouth at the top of the tower.

You've broken the code, Gonch.
Amazing.

I was thinking the lift looked more like giraffe legs. I won't say what the drop looks like in that scenario.
Hmmm...giraffe legs. The boats could be themed as baby giraffes, which are birthed from the mother giraffe at the top of the lift, dropping down with a rush of amniotic fluid. It'd be very educational for the kids.

If you can somehow incorperate on-board audio, I'm sold

Does that mean that the foodstand nearby can sell "Baby Giraffe Legs" instead of turkey legs?
I'm so sorry Paula.

I suppose, but they probably wouldn't have enough meat on them.
I was thinking they could sell clear ponchos as amniotic sacs for the most legit giraffe birthing experience. Umbilical cord jump ropes might be a hot seller as well.
You guys are so gross.
I'm not even mentioning this thread to Dan. He's a guy, too, you know.

Seems like it shouldn't be long until we are calling it "Splashin Safari & Holiday World" instead of the other way around.
