Pictures and POV of new Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster

You might have seen the construction pictures of the new custom Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster via Screamscape and Coastersandmore.com

In the following link you can see some more pictures of testrides and a link to a POV of a testride of this extremely interesting coaster.

The ride (eventually called: "Hot Trip") is the first and biggest step in an attempt to update the park, which is more of a Zoo or Wild animal park with small amusements.

The concrete building you see under the first drop is supposed to become a volcano, housing a restaurant and parts of a logflume which will run through the volcano and under parts of the coaster. (the flume will traverse under the five bunny hops as well).

The park says that the flume will only be built if the coaster will become a success. I hope they will advertise the coaster and people will respond to it, since the "Wild und Freizeitpark Klotten" is still very unknown in Germany.

Check ou the location of the park on some of the pics, its high up above the River Mosel

Is "hupf" the sound that airtime makes auf Deutsch? Maybe it's because we're relatively new-coaster-deprived this year, but that ride looks great. It's refreshing to see a creative custom layout like that.

Ja, Herr Olsor. "Hüpf" means "hop" in cartoon speak ;-)

Anyway, I forgot to add a link to the Gerstlauer compact Bobsled that is going to Japan. The layout is not that great but check out the theming:

Is the bobsled what Gerstlauer calls a mini coaster?
Heya. Aqua wind is apparently now open in Japan. That bit through the waterfalls looks awesome. infact the themeing looks pretty darn cool. not bad for a park whos biggest ride is a Senyo Kiddie coaster.
All Gerstlauers look awesome, roomraider !

;)

Wow! That video is insane. This looks like my type of ride.

Thanks for the link tricktrack.

25 high quality pictures of the test rides and an unique panorama view can be found at http://www.coastersandmore.com. The new Gerstlauer bobsled is insane - I like the ride and its setting. The mixture of high speed turns, camelbacks and helices in addition with the stone theming is wonderful (I have counted seven airtime spots).
