Photos of SFOG's new site clearing!!!

visit www.playride.com/new2002 for the photos.  This should be enough proof to those who believe that SFOG isn't getting anything for next season.  I doubt they would clear all this land for nothing.

That's a lot of land clearly. I believe something BIG is going to be built there, either a hypercoster or a B&M flying coaster.

No, I am not an expert nor do I work in the industry, nor do I know anyone on the 'inside'. However, I have heard a number of things ;) and let me just say if I had to bet money it would be on a B&M hyper-coaster.

A hyper definitely makes more sense to me than the flying coaster rumor going around. I went to SFoG last weekend, and they don't need another "gimmick ride" that will have capacity issues. They already have enough stuff with loops (B:TR, Scorcher, Mindbender, Ninja, Deja Vu), and a B&M Hyper would fit the park's needs perfectly: a major attraction with great capacity.

Whatever this new ride may be, I really hope they are able to efficantly run three trains on it. The lines there are outragous.

Anyone hear of any new flat rides making there way to SFoG?

Can anyone clear this up for me????:

Is that red fence in those pictures the same red fence right at the Climbing Wall/Swampwater Jack's/Viper Enterance???  If so, they have cleared A LOT of space.  The entire ride, a large plot of land behind the ride, and now the entire Viper queue have all been cleared in the past month.  That includes all the trees and a big hill that are now gone.  This thing will be huge.

I'm sure no one else is concerned about this right now, but any word on Viper's destination? Hyper Shmyper! Bring the Schwarzkopf to SFKK!

The station is still there, and yes that is the same red fence.  Everyone has mentioned a trench, I think it will stay just that, don't expect a tunnel (although I could be wrong).

Also, pictures show clearings quite far towards the left toward's GASM's turnaround.  Does anyone know if the Southern Star Ampitheater has been or will be torn down for more room?

Talked to a Deja Vu worker in June...and everything he told me to this point has come to pass. Told me that Deja Vu would be more trouble than it's worth and that's true. Told me that Viper would be gone before the end of the season and that's true. Now if the part he told me about a $20 million dollar B&M going back there is true then I'll be glad that SFOG is my home park. Only time will tell. Also, you have to remember that all of that space isn't going to be for the coaster. Some of that is, alledgedly, for a new themed area back there. I, for one, could do without theming, just give me a major coaster back there and I'll be happy.

MillenniumForceX: make that a triple post!

They aren't touching the GASM-themed game building are they? Looks awful close. While on the subject, did GASM's entrance used to be through the arch (now used for the skycoaster)? It bugs me that beautiful architecture like that ends up as part of a skycoaster. :(

No...the Scream Machine entrance has always been where it is currently. It hasn't moved since it's been there.

I REALLY hope this is a Hyper coaster! It could make SFOG one of the best SF Parks in the Country if it isnt that already.
